Robinson’s bowling has been even worse than broad and Anderson with new ball. Just back of a length and leaving. It is ridiculous. We have to make them play.

That drop by buttler was staggering.

Penultimate over of the day. Ball moving about. None were even close to hitting the stumps so were watched to the keeper who actually caught it.

Nothing to see here despite the BBC'S desperate headline " England Fight Back "! 300+ batting first by Australia will he good enough for England to wobble and collapse.

Expect the convicts to get a 70-130 run first innings lead.

My expectations are that it'll be larger than that but, if it falls within your range, England won't be winning especially as batting last.

Is hoping for a draw in this scenario comparable with hoping for an Albion win at Stamford Bridge in 12 days time?

Yes, it's probably going to be a larger lead thanks to Smith... This game has gone already.

Just switched on after no desire to wake up at 4 to watch. Slightly better than expected. Expected us to be batting by now and 6 wickets down.

The convicts 7-8-9 have put on over a hundred so far.. Would we get 100 with our 1-2-3? Probably not.

Innings defeat here……..series effectively over two days into the second test. Grim.

We've bowled for 2 days. We saw on day 1 that we bowled too short without success, so went to a fuller line and got wickets. The tail comes out and we start bowling short again. Are we just a bit stupid as a team?

England 3 down by close, can we just concede now? It’s embarrassing how terrible we are in Aussie conditions, aside from that 2010 series we always have been, utterly woeful.
