My medical condition means that I have very poor circulation too. I always sit in the disabled section & have had no problems. The stewards in the disabled section at Elland Road are some of the best in the country: I always get escorted to my seat even though I have a helper with me, we always get offered a blanket if we are cold and they always ask if we need any help getting out of the ground & wish us a safe journey home.

Am sure you are aware of th AWADs site. But just in case

Pleased you seemed to have a great experience at Elland Rd apart from the result! Being a member of the DFS you woluld have seen this review of Withdean, coincidently by a Leeds fan. But thought other fans might be interested.............

this was the strangest venue ive seen leeds play at.more like playing in a local park.having said that the facilaties were great.parked behind the away stand nice pub ,a brewers fair next to car park,no colours and you should get in ok.sat in front of away fans ,no cover so got a wet bum (and soaked rest of me)toilets great ,and stewards very helpfull, nice food via burger van shame we lost and 5 hour journey home.i hope brighton get a ground soon but in the mean time the withdean as far as im concerened is great fo wheelchair users 8 out of ten

Good to see the club and Withdean stewards getting praise for a change. Not quite sure about "nice food" via a burger van though!

Standing in the way of control
Stewards are a stange bunch. I once had a run-in with some of Barry Hearn's finest during that sit-in at Orient years ago. I had a huge arguement with one guy who was being a bit of a knob and trying to get me to leave. His supervisor asked HIM to leave and appologised to me. When I left the ground I bumped into the original guy and was half execting a bit of slap when he came over. He offered his hand, apologised and said he'd been having a shit day and was really sorry for having a go at me.

Generally at Orient they are ***** - remember them filming us for no reason?

But like most people in uniforms I find that if you make eye contact with 'em and smile it gets 'em on your side. They usually turn out alright after that.

Did that steward tell him to "f*** Off??"

If that happened at The Albion the steward would be sacked no question. You should send that clip to Leeds FC.

To be fair, if I was being abused by a pissed-up, middle-aged bloke, I would be inclined to tell him to f*** off!

All a bit embarrassing really and it has made me evaluate quite deeply exactly how much I drink before away games.

The Stewards at Leeds are among the best we see and are really pretty tolerant of all the buffoonery. The bloke in the suit was getting some fearful stick but took it all in good heart. The Steward I 'spoke' to also made a point of shaking my hand at the end - pretty impressive really!

So, apologies to those who thought the behaviour was a bit pathetic. I was pissed, had a bit of a go, he had a go back, I came close to being chucked out and it all ended in a handshake.

No big deal really.

It might be a decent thing to do then, to take that vid off youtube, so the steward doesn't get implicated by a small vignette of the entire altercation.
