What was the away attendance yesterday?

That steward video is funny. The older steward walking over and just shouting "f*** off" is classic, I think that's the kind of no nonsense old fashioned stewarding that everyone could get on with! What did he actually do to you lot?

He did nothing wrong to be honest apart from trying to get us to sit down. There were a few alcohol fuelled responses using classic Anglo Saxon, and then he and the Chuckle Brothers decided to make their point en masse.

All ended with handshakes.

Worthing
The usual bunch of pricks arguing with stewards.

''how come you are not telling them that blah blah blah''
''who are we hurting blah blah blah''
''you look like Harry Potter giggle giggle''

All because you had your 2 pints of shandy before the game.
Same old faces, same old dull, dull, dull behaviour.

So Albion fans are not allowed to have a laugh when they go to a game then, we'll just all sit in silence instead.

That young looking supervisor looked like Harry Potter, and he was playing along too. Nothing wrong with that.

Yeah. Couldn't argue with my mate being thrown out, he was ratted. The guy in the suit looked like a poodle in a shark tub, bit ridiculous really, but generally the Leeds stewards are big loverboys, they were all wishing us a safe journey home and all that.

Superb!

I'm glad you stood up to that steward when he told you to put the camera down. He didn't have a clue what to say:lol:

My son is a type 1 diabetic and has to keep the circulation going in his feet so cannot sit down for long periods inactive. So does the Disability Discrimination Act take precedence over stadium rules ? Would sensible stewards normally back down when told that he has diabetes and allow him to stand ?

My medical condition means that I have very poor circulation too. I always sit in the disabled section & have had no problems. The stewards in the disabled section at Elland Road are some of the best in the country: I always get escorted to my seat even though I have a helper with me, we always get offered a blanket if we are cold and they always ask if we need any help getting out of the ground & wish us a safe journey home.

Stewards are a stange bunch. I once had a run-in with some of Barry Hearn's finest during that sit-in at Orient years ago. I had a huge arguement with one guy who was being a bit of a knob and trying to get me to leave. His supervisor asked HIM to leave and appologised to me. When I left the ground I bumped into the original guy and was half execting a bit of slap when he came over. He offered his hand, apologised and said he'd been having a shit day and was really sorry for having a go at me.

Stewards themselves were fine yesterday and no worse than on previous visits. If you ignore them or abuse them you get in trouble; seems fair enough.

Where they go wrong at Elland Road is their complete non-attempt to get the home fans at the other end to sit down. If it is really a safety issue then it must be more of a problem in the much bigger home contingent than in the away segment.
