The problem I have is we can't do anything in the final 3rd and it's been showing for the pass 4 games. We get to the edge of the box and run out of ideas. So frustrating.

This is us in a nutshell at the moment though isn’t it the other team just needs to sit back and wait for a clumsy error or us to gift then a goal.

It's exasperated by the fact we just can't seem to score anymore. We've only scored 2 goals in 2024 against Premier League quality teams, all our goals have come against Championship outfits (4 against Stoke, 5 against Sheff Utd (x2), 4 against Palace.

How many goals have we conceded this season by trying to play down on the byline instead of just getting rid. I know it’s not the RDZ way but two minutes to HT away in Rome just be sensible.

We needed to inject Mitoma with fentany and speed and get 60mins out of him for this game. Without an in form Mitoma and Pedro we are fu*ked.

Our midfield looks lightweight too.

To gift them a goal like that two minutes before HT is just so dissapointing. This is what we have been resting all our players for...

Not much in it really. A quality goal by a quality player and one stupid mistake, plus the usual profligacy up front. We give away so many easy goals now without the attacking effectiveness to justify it. Not surprising with the players missing but a frustrating recurring theme.

Think we need 1 tonight now to have any chance next week.

Poor, naive.

What happened to the rapid incisive attacks that RDZ was known for? It's all a bit Potter again recently, huff puff huff puff.

But the reason we're losing is crap defending again. Switching off with the high line for the first. Dunk error and Steele rooted in no man's land for the second.
You cannot seriously blame Steele for the second goal. There was one player at fault and it wasn’t him.

De Zerbi, IF he stays, needs to sort out our defensive frailties.

It's so poor, so regularly.
Well he's had nearly two years to show any desire to defend properly so I wouldn't hold yer breath. A night like tonight needed a touch of pragmatism but we just keep playing the same old way with defenders constantly exposed and too many players with the wrong mindset..I.e...overplaying and as a result losing possession too often. This is damage limitation now.
