We’ve only ever seen him on tv playing ( except a few )

It’s harder to really assess a player when you are not seeing the full picture .

I think we will miss him and are weaker as a result .

50m is a fair price though .

I know the argument about plugging the money we are losing but I seriously hope we are going large on a striker .

If we can get that Spanish lwb and a striker and keep bissouma then not a bad window . You would hope that would boost the goals we scored per chances .

If we don’t address the taking of chances then it’s more of the same isn’t it ( which is still pretty good if in the stadium )

Very true this. There's a lot you can't see on TV.

I don't feel qualified to say whether I think Ben will go onto be a decent PL player or a top level Champ League / 50+ international cap sort of player. Whereas I reckon if i'd season him live for a season I reckon I'd be able to make that prediction

Apart from Ulloa, we've literally never sold a player we didn't want to. Done well to keep hold of Dunk etc..... it had to happen sooner or later, it always does.

And in that time, getting on for a decade, how many clubs in world football could say the same?

Not many

You say a few - there were 2000 at the Chelsea friendly, the same number for the few games at the end of last year and 7500 for the City game.

I’ve seen posts on Nsc in the past where the poster has whinged about noddy cup games, friendliest, etc
and the prices (generally about £15) but if they’d gone, they could’ve watched Ben play several times.

Bozza did a poll recently & I was pleased to see I’d watched him five times.

.

We don't normally have pandemics which wipe out 99% of a season's fixtures.

I imagine their view on the price of those games remains unchanged.

Nor mine. There were several opportunities to watch BW and now people are moaning they couldn't see him live.

Not sure many are 'moaning' as it's no ones fault. There's no one to aim a moan at. It's a disappointment that a player played a whole season of league games and moved without many getting to watch if they didn't pay to go to friendlies/cup games where he was involved. For many, the season ticket outlay is a large enough cost/use of time.

A complete freak season has stopped many seeing him play. It's just a shame. Not a normal time to say "well you should have gone to that cup game years ago then".

Hindsight isn't THAT impressive.

Ive only just realised whilst reading the last couple posts, that I not sure if I saw White play live or not.

I didn't think that I would never get the chance to see him play live in Brighton shirt, I may have seen him a cup game but Im not sure tbh

I saw the away game at Burnley in December 2018 (Saturday after beating Palace 3-1 with 10 men), and White was on the subs bench, so I probably saw him warming up and having a kick around with the other subs at half time. Can't imagine what Hughton was thinking including him in a Premier League match squad seeing as everyone at BHA thought he was useless until he went to Leeds.

Not quite true, we didn't want shot of Ashley Barnes, but due to contract length and his desire to go to Burnley, we pretty much had to. I am sure there will have been a few others like that as well.

Well if Charles Watts has reported that he's told Arsenal 'I wanna be your man', then, it's all over now. We're out of time. It'll be the last time we see him.

We'll miss you, but it's only rock 'n' roll and, as tears go by £50 million should give us satisfaction.
