When it becomes official, I expect Southgate will pick him ahead of Mings.

Southgate is after all exactly the sort of chump that won't pick a player unless he is playing for a big club.

So your saying Albion aren't a big club, shame on you

The truth is that in order for Ben White to have moved to Leeds last summer three things would have needed to happen.

1 Leeds needed to make an offer
2 Brighton would have needed to have accepted an offer
3 Ben White would have needed to have agreed terms with Leeds.

Only 1 of those events happened and the process stopped at step 2. It is my hunch that had step 2 been a success, step 3 was already sewn up given that BW was probably aware of what 'could' have been on offer towards the end of his tenure at Leeds.

Given the season that Leeds had in the championship and also last season it would not be ridiculous to state that he might have been keen and/or disappointed that the move never took place.

Anyway, he is now being looked at more seriously by bigger fish so in the end it is Brighton and BW that succeed so we should all be pleased with that. Our plan worked!

Don't get worked up about people like me that think the lad may well have wanted to go to leeds but was stopped by us not having an acceptable bid offered. Its history!

Liverpool were watching him constantly while he was at Leeds. Arsenal were keen on him since Leeds played them at the Emirates. You have to remember Arsenal are desperate at the moment and need to appease their fans after last season's efforts.

So here's hoping TB works a whopping great 'desperation factor' into any negotiations then! And if that prices them out so he goes to a top club or stays here for another year that'll be fine by me!

How lucky are we that he played for Leeds as it seems other clubs were only looking at him when he was a loanee Leeds player?

As for Arsenal fans, I know they are very needy but didn’t Arsenal have the best form over the last 20 or so games last season? Things are looking quite good on the pitch, they do not need the rebuild they seem to want given the number of players they are being linked to blud.

That Foden interviewer asked the same question 3 times in a row. No wonder footballers look bored doing these things if that is what they have to deal with.

You think this about Arsenal because your easily pleased with a few decent performances during a season. For Arsenal to finish outside the top six is a disaster for them they need to rebuild and fast.

So just ignore the fact that their relatively new manager had got them playing well for the last 20 games of the season. Bit like throwing the baby out with the bathwater. But as you correctly say, as a Brighton fan I am reasonably easily pleased if performances are good. Just glad I’m not an Arsenal fan, I’d struggle to cope with that entitled shit

I think Liverpool finished outside the top six under Klopp as he rebuilt? There is no entitlement for being top six. Sometimes you do drop out. United have struggled quite a bit in recent years.

As an outsider I think Arsenal have steadied the ship, yes they do need some players but a rebuild? Nah

Playing well? Not an avid Arsenal watcher although I did tune in for the Europa semi they were dire, a boring and toothless display.

Fair enough, nor am I an avid watcher. I did think they gave us a footballing lesson in the last game but it was a meaningless game for us and a very big one for them, even if it finished in vain.

I thought they did well in the second half of the season, I may be wrong and everybody DOES need replacing

It is laughable that some Albion fans seem to think Ben White would not be taking a massive step up going to Arsenal though. I’ve even heard it referred to as a sideways move, hopefully that was tongue in cheek.

If you read through the crap the deal with Arsenal is not even close, I personally think he will be a Liverpool player come next season.

It is a step up for Ben of course, potentially. But personally I, and I think others, feel he could be doing better than Arsenal.
