Actually slightly disappointed that we didn’t win this one. Arsenal are a very good team, but we had a man advantage, and a slightly more cohesive attacking unit would have got the second.

I don’t doubt we’ll lose matches this season, but we can challenge in every single game, against any opposition. I’m so proud of this team. Bonus points to Veltman too. Hope he’s back with us soon.
Actually, very pleased to get a point away from home at one of the teams likely to finish in the top two this year. 'Disappointing' is watching your team at home in an open air 7000 max stadium losing to 9 man Walsall! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Any answer to this?
Hard to see from my seat but I think it was him celebrating Rice being sent off by trying to get us all cheering (though I don’t think we could see there was a potential red at that point)? He also, I think, went down injured at one point when Arsenal were attacking, and jumped up when the ref didn’t stop the game - we’ve given plenty of players grief for that so fair enough!

Not sure 'jumped up' was quite right - he did actually hobble for a while afterwards.

i’m not crying. Just pointing out that its use as you used it is rather unnecessary and unpleasant . Go ask the views of someone who has been, or knows someone who has been raped and I’m sure they’ll help you understand.
I guess you've never murdered a pint.

Yes I have, quite literally killed it by consuming it at a rate of knots. Have you ever raped one? Thank you for helping put context to the difference between the use of two words.

Nope, that game was there to be won.

I know where we are now is very different to being where we’ve been in the past, but we’re not in League One any more. We’re near the top of the Premier League on merit, and when opportunities like having a man advantage come along, we need to take them.

That game had chances for both teams to win it. I’m glad they missed theirs, but I’m a bit annoyed that we missed ours. I have no doubt that this will come across as “entitled” to some, but if we want European football again, these are the teams we’re competing with, not Walsall.

True dat, but still, getting a point away at the Emirates is not to be sneezed at.

Apparently Rice had a go at Van Hecke in the tunnel at half time so none of those as they were all second half. I was at the back of the away stand and certainly didn’t see anything worthy of the boos.

If anyone asked any of us whether we'd be happy with 7 points from Everton A, Man Utd H, Arsenal A at the start of the season, it would have been an absolute no brainer.

This has been a fantastic start to the season.

The international break could not have come at a better time, to allow our injured players to recover and our newer players to further integrate.

If we return to beat Ipswich convincingly, it'll be an incredible league table for us to look at, and I'd be confident of this being our best ever season.

We will need a bit of luck along the way. It certainly seems as if we're starting to get more neutrality from referees now that we've earned the respect of the league, compared to previous seasons.

Not at game today.
Listened to bbc Sussex with Johnny and Warren.
Quite like the radio, improves your imagination.
Highlights over 90 mins.
1 Saka goes down easy.
2 Arsenal fans shock, horror, because not guaranteed 3 points at 60 mins.
3 Arteta staring at the ground with arms folded at 90 mins.
Correct?
