They were better and had our tactics all squared away. We spent more time when we had the ball in their half, which is exactly what they wanted. We couldn't find a way through or around.. Ferguson got pushed off nearly every ball and our passing mid field has gone to pot.. Mitoma seems to have lost confidence and goes to penetrate then turns back.. Dunk was massive and hope he's not in too much pain in the privates.. Mitoma getting a card for time wasting was just an idiotic decision by the ref given subsequent identical incidents that were allowed.. Southern rail seem to be suprised the trains home from Victoria are busy this evening.. Dumb bums..
Mitoma’s yellow was for pulling back Saka.

Very much THIS.

And when we try and balance it out by bringing in a bit of experience then they are all 'past it'.

How the f*** do you think we are competing at this end of the league and in the Europa knock out stages with a budget more akin to keeping out of the relegation places.

Kids, old men and BIG BALLS
Dunky will have some oversized balls after that whack in the knackers. He’ll need a wheel barrow

One annoying feature for me was White getting that cheap yellow early on. Surely we had to have Mitoma running him every opportunity. Instead he didn’t get a pass to his wing for another 40 minutes. Just another sign that we had settled for a minimal defeat today

You are completely entitled to your opinion, however I would comment that, the way RDZ plays makes a pivot 6 indispensable. Gilmour has come on leaps and bounds in a relatively short period of time. Note that we are at our worst when he is not on the pitch - he sets the tempo, retains possession and still only 22. The game these days is a system game, and BG fits very well into ours. I would prefer a 3 man midfield of gross, Baleba and Gilmour but beggars can’t be choosers right now. He may be slightly overrated here but his potential is enormous and RDZ clearly loves him…..which tells its own story. If you want to talk about overrated, ask Chelsea fans about Moses - he just doesn’t fit their system at the moment.

I don’t think we settled for anything they are just a good side at full strength.

Weird. Could have been anything from a 6-0 defeat to snatching a point. Not sure Gross’s effort would have counted as ball seemed to go out of play on the wing earlier in the move. Also wish I had a pound for every ‘c--t’ bellowed by a bloke by the aisle in Block 23. Hope he recovers from his serious bout of
c--titis in time for Xmas

It was undoubtedly a yellow card but what was annoying was that initially ref was not going to give it but succumbed to the crowd and Arteta's protests

Waitrose. Veg aisles
First time in a couple of years I’ve seen BHA outplayed. No worries though if you take this last week in consideration. Add injuries and going down to Arsenal away, with two more rest days. Well, it’s the next couple of games that matters!
I dunno. Despite the result, i'd say AEK at their gaff outplayed us pretty good. Not to this extent though, obviously.

What about the Arsenal's Ultras?

Didn't think anything could be more embarrassing than Palace's goons, but I was wrong.

Didn't manage to sing above the noise from their drum throughout the game.

I think the Arsenal fans were booing him for perceived time-wasting.
Yes, just as we booed Mbuemo for the same thing. We thought he was feigning injury to waste time and disrupt a spell of pressure. He went off injured shortly afterwards. Looking at the Brentford forum after the game, they really lambasted us for that. The truth is that more often than not, players ARE faking injury. But when they’re not one feels bad about having booed.

Villa away this season. Newcastle away last season , Everton home last season. Arsenal home last season !!
4 times in the last 55 Games ? Bloom out :lolol:

And Everton never outplayed us. It's just every half chance, from anywhere on the pitch flew into our top corner
