That second goal of ours was a thing of beauty!

Such lovely tight build up play and then a perfectly executed finish.

Marvellous scenes! :albion:

Amazing watch, so much better than we have been. Like the new line up. All were good but thought Trossard had a great game with the ball.

Take Maupay out of the equation and it starts to click

Welbeck didn't do much this game. I doubt the result would have been different if Maupay and Welbeck are swapped in the starting line up.

The difference was a midfield that looked motivated and disciplined. Mwepu set the tempo, Caicedo looked bright and Trossard actually played quite well too.

So - are we now agreed that the line-up was okay?

And what about Gross - playing against the youngest team, with no pace - yet lasted the full 96+ minutes.

How did Bobby get a yellow with what we have seen at the Amex both Burnley and Norwich which were much worse

Well, I never saw that coming. I'm jubilantly stunned.

Lot to be pleased with there.

A goal. Then another one. Two actual real life goals. A win. Sanchez back to his best, flying saves and dominant cross taking. Cucurella, what a player. Mwepu, an assist, a goal and hopefully no injury. Caicedo, very good. The team giving an incredibly committed, focused and aggressive performance. Potter, excellent, pragmatic game plan.
