By far the better team, ESPN praising us throughout.
Veltman and Cucurella 9.5 or 10 out of 10 - destroying/disrupting dozens of Arsenal forays down the wings. Veltman was bloody amazing, a sixth sense for danger. Dunk back to his best.
Welbeck didn't do much this game. I doubt the result would have been different if Maupay and Welbeck are swapped in the starting line up.
The difference was a midfield that looked motivated and disciplined. Mwepu set the tempo, Caicedo looked bright and Trossard actually played quite well too.
Couple of subs, two goals, Mwepu down for a while, Sanchez booked for wasting time. I definitely saw the ref point at his watch a few times to indicate he was adding time on.
A goal. Then another one. Two actual real life goals. A win. Sanchez back to his best, flying saves and dominant cross taking. Cucurella, what a player. Mwepu, an assist, a goal and hopefully no injury. Caicedo, very good. The team giving an incredibly committed, focused and aggressive performance. Potter, excellent, pragmatic game plan.
