Was just reading online somewhere that there was trouble during and after due to villa fans mocking Eduardo's injury and also a fan was seriously injured during some sort of fight or scuffle

It was more stupid than that... ahem..

"Eduardo.. wooooooaaaoow, Eduardo.. wooooooaaaoow,
He used to have the skills, and now he's Heather Mills"

Bad wording, bad chant, bad part of the country to be from.

How a team can mock another for an injury that occured like that is beyond me.

How would Villa feel if all clubs started chanting things about Curtis Davies now that he's out for the remainder of the season.

and it was a birmingham player who did it! complete fools.

1. i wouldnt chant a song like that in the 1st place
2. even more reason if it was a palace player who did it!

I don't condone the singing, but I think Arsenal brought much of this on themselves by acting like spoilt little children (Wenger especially) on the day.

I personally wouldnt chant it, however I think that we have to allow the 'terrace banter' to continue unhindered no matter how brutal.

Let's not have the self appointed moralists censor football crowds.

Its a brutal I know, but I think theres an element of dark humour that impresses me !!!

That's a point, there must be something with the water supply in that part of the country. How daft can they be!

I was there on saturday and the Villa fans were totally out of order and nearly created a riot in the stadium.
I think they suffered after the game though, some of there coaches were not in a good state on the way out!!!

The song being refered to above. To sing a song about a player who doesn't even know if he will be able to play football again is senseless and very confrontational.

I think its insensitive, heartless and provocative for sure.

But I still do not think its pushed beyond acceptable boundaries of football terrace singing and baiting.

Yes it is and it is the sort of thing that, like it or not, creates the atmosphere at football matches that attracts people to actually go to games, rather than sit in their front room watching it on Sky.
