The Arsenal players were bang out of order with their behaviour after the final whistle.Credit to RVN for not retaliating,as most players would of.

Hardly a good example to be setting for youngsters but thats what I've come to expect from that lout Keown.

Perhaps a points deduction might concentrate Aresenal's minds the next time a game ends.

This is pretty distasteful to say the least - surely Wenger doesn't encourage this type of behaviour ?

He is a professional manager after all.

He has been their manager for a couple of seasons now, and they have a terrible disciplinary record over that time.
Apparently he does not have enough control, or else he doesn't discourage it.
The points deduction idea is an excellent one, time arsenal were made an example of - better than the one they make for themselves.

Perhaps both teams should be called to the FA and warned about future conduct.

Ferguson is no better than Wenger - both teams are uping the stakes of gamesmanship after everygame between themselves.

At some point, in the not to distant future - there will be a very serious and ugly incident between these two clubs.

I fell asleep this afternoon, woke up to turn the TV on and see it was 0-0 with 79 minutes gone. There was me thinking 'shit game, won't really pay too much attention to it now'....how wrong was I?

Given the fact that I HATE both teams, I thought it was pretty good really. For a big bloke, RVN is unbelievable though - and the trouble involving him wasn't just about today, as Steve Bruce/Alan Smith mentioned earlier, Arsenal have had issues with him for a while now.

RVN did his best to make a meal out of what Viera did. Yeah he shouldn't have raised the boot but unless he had another 3 foot extension on it the boot was never gonna touch him.

Think about it. Someone aims a kick at your nuts - even if it misses by a mile, you're going to jump back out of the way. Fastest human reflex so they say.

I would much rather see Arsenal do well than ManUre, but they are well out of order with their ridiculous constant whingeing about conspiracy theories among refs. Wenger needs to get a grip on them.

Ferguson is just as bad. Whenever his lot lose it's always the referee to blame, and he doesn't have to put up with the likes of Prosser as we do. Mind you, does everybody remember the ridiculous excuse we got when the Scummers whipped them a few years back. They changed their kit at half time because the players couldn't see each other, never heard a better one than that.

Surely I'm not alone in funding the Arsenal player's reactions more than just a little bit funny? Football is firery game, as it should be, the only thing that suprises me is that players don't get more involved like that more often. There's nothing wrong with a little needle and mutual goading - so long it's within the rules - what's the problem? It's psychological warfare, and it makes the game a whole lot more interesting to watch.

Cheshire - couldn't agree more...

Keown is a w*nker but for the last 2 minutes today he was just funny!
Prem footballers are all going to have a dislike for certain other pros who they have to play against and if they missed a penalty against you at their place in the 92nd minute for the winner, I'd want to laugh in front of their face too! Brilliant! (see above funny photo from Brighton Rock)
