passion and violence are different things my friend. games like these are filled with it and it takes bad decisions like today to get the players wound up which can lead to lashing out. thungs like keane aren't filled with passion but generally more violent than other players. ruud gets what he deserved.

Either you are an ARSEnal supporter or you love Martin Keown a little too much :tosser:

RVN Did nothing wrong!

What aboout jumping on Vieira?

Vieira is a sheeps head for sticking his foot out at RVN, but I will not have a word said against former Albion star Keown.

I know that his career went downhill after Chris Cattlin wisely refused to pay the exhorbitant fee of £30,000 that Arsenal were asking for him to become a permament signing when on loan in 1985, but for me he will always be Blue and White.

I'm gonna be open and say i was but now i don't really care who wins!I thought it deserved to be a draw,i thought the pen was highly dodgy,i just think that today he didn't do anything to deserve the shoddy treatment he got!Admittedly he does dive but doesn't Pires,Dugarry,Owen,Shearer etc.!I hate to say it but if,and i hasten to say if,Leon won us a pen by diving would we all go "Your shit,Your a diver"etc. i think not!

Whether you like it or not it's part and parcel of the Premiership now!

Here's the opinion of a nuetral (Rangers supporter) even slightly biased against man u person:

"arsenal were absolutely shocking by there behaviour when van nisterooy missed his penalty with all the bully tactics which the fa should make a stand against and ban them all the c*nts"

His words not mine!

if leon did win a pen by diving obviously i wouldn't be impressed but at the same time wouldn't scream out 'you're shit' etc. when jonsey went on a run at the colchester game down the left flank and blatently dived a lot of people, including myself, shouted for him to get up.

Lets not all get on high horses and brand Arsenal a "disgrace". Come on, be honest, you all ENJOYED it at the end when they acted like a pub team and gave RVN a bit of grief. Christ, it was the most entertaining part of the whole match. I watch football for the entertainment and passion, and the last few minutes, it finally delivered. The previous 90 was a complete bore.

I love all that, me.

Storm in a teacup in my view. If you watch a rugby game then you see people committing acts of carnage against one another. If you want to see not contact sport watch bowls or snooker.

Everyone is having a pop at the Arsenal players, they were a bit stupid and silly, but did little worse than Quentin Fortune when he barged into Lehmann to try to wrestle the ball off him when the penalty was awarded. Of course this latter item was not highlighted on Sky (a 9.9% shareholder in ....................Manchester United plc), as Sky fear being not allowed access to Fergie in interviews etc. if they dare criticise United, as happened to the BBC a gcouple of years ago after Fat Ulster Dwarf Alan Green was critical of the Hairdryers regime.

I want football to be passionate, gladiatoral, confrontational and the players give the impression that they are committed. There is still scope in there for the sublime skills of the likes of Ronaldo, Henry and of course Nathan Jones. But too often games are bland, anaemic with the appeal of a vicars tea party.

At least the tabloids have this weeks over the top hysterical headlines givne to them on a plate.

BIg C and El Pres, I think we are in agreement.

Fights and goading in football are good for the game. It stirs the passions and shows the players care. Diving and feigning injury are the REAL shitters in the game, that pisses me off big time.

But I love seeing players winding each other up, personal vendettas, simmering feuds, and then watching it all explode as a result of one incident. THATS entertainment.

Marvellous scenes.

if anything it shows arsenal still have the fight and desire to win the title, perhaps thats what they were missing last year.
personally its nice to see them caring so much(both sides)

I think it was harsh sending off, a crap penalty decision and a hilarious miss - entertaining as well
