Yes, we are ALL OF US (even the womenfolk) going to run AMOK as soon as Falmer opens for business - RAMPAGING (like we do at Withdean) through the ponds and streets, pulling up flowers and RAPING and PILLAGING!
I hope Yorkie rapes YOU antifalmer, and worse still PULLS UP YOUR FLOWERS.

Pop the ring-pull on that can of whip-ass Yorkie, you are going in. :flameboun

:falmer::ascarf::albion2::thumbsup::drink:

What's that coming over the hill?

Nothing wrong with having an opinion. By the very nature of the contributions on any forum, it means people have an opinion. Even you. And of course, your threat of physical violence just confirms what people think of soccer fans in general.

From Answers.com:

Walter Mitty appears in the short story The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, written by humorist James Thurber and published in The New Yorker in 1939. Mitty is a meek and henpecked husband who daydreams of being a daring surgeon, heroic pilot and dashing naval commander ("Throw on the power lights! Rev her up to 8500! We're going through!"). Thurber's story was a mere 2100 words long, but the character struck a chord and "Walter Mitty" has become popular shorthand for any timid soul who dreams of a more dashing life. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty was made into a 1947 film with Danny Kaye as Mitty.

How can that possibly relate to me? Did you know what a Walter Mitty complex was before typing it in?

I take it you had to go look it up AFTER you'd read it to find out who he was???

Please, be my guest and explain you opinion?

You are anti-Falmer (presumably the stadium, and not that you are against the village) but can you explain why?

Good choice of username antifalmer, I hate the place too. (The stadium of course will be 100% inside the city boundary.)

I did. You come across as a pessimistic, under-valued, knee-jerk reactionary with a disproprtionate and mis-placed sense of self-generated intelligence. I'd say you fit that profile perfectly. Your allusion to generalise over what you consider to be the wit, wisdom and behaviour over football fans is a classic case in point.

So in trying to maintain the high moral by the reaction of my supposed threat of physical violence, you immediately lose that ground by casting a disgraceful slur on football fans, without any recourse to establishing facts. Instead, your refer to a media-led stereotype which today exists only on the extreme of the football-supporting society.

You are of course, entitled to your opinion. If anyone can come up with that killer argument against Falmer, I would be very interested to hear it. Telling lies based on ignorance about a large cross-section of society, is, most people would find, highly counter-productive. So when you know what you're on about, your opinion might be treated with some courtesy and reverence. In this instance, it simply isn't the case.

You clearly don't understand what a Walter Mitty complex is do you? If you did, you would understand that I do not have any delusions or even illusions (but not allusions as you wrote) of having been in a role in the past that makes me feel important.

For you, there will be no killer argument against Falmer. How could there be?

Allusions was the correct word in that context. You were alluding to something.

As fun as it's been, I'm off. See you in the traffic jam that will be Falmer on match days......

I won't be in a traffic jam because Falmer has a station and I will be arriving by train.

See ya. :bigwave:

Considering I don't think any of us here will be driving there - or indeed, for the most part - passing through the village the stadium is not located in - that will be somewhat hard, won't it.

antifalmer, until or unless you can back up your, uhh, anti-falmer stance with some actual FACTS, you will continue to come across on here as the ill-informed, odious little twerp that you no doubt are.

Prove me wrong.

Being a Falmer resident i'm disgusted with this latest development. It sounds like the football club have come out victorious.I really don't want a huge concrete bowl on my doorstep with five thousand animals running around hitting eachother with lumps of wood.I can see my premiums going up for both my home and car insurance. You can expect hundreds of drunk, abusive away fans turning up hours before kickoff throwing half eaten kebabs and chips into our gardens and the local pond. This is such awfull news for us residents. The value of my house will plummet no doubt. We need to start a petition that the club can't play on saturdays around here at christmas time and midweek games kick off at 6pm.I don't want football being played untill midnight due to extra time and shoot outs.I wouldn't be able to sleep for the safety of my family.Hopefully we have grounds for another appeal left in the tank.Fingers crossed.:lolol::lolol::lolol:
the sad thing is i reckon that is what a huge chunk of the residents/people campaigning against the stadium actually think , well the proof that we've had only a handful of arrests surrounding the ground (if any) over the years proves that we are not only respectful citizens of this city but also actually football supporters rather then just people who look for a "ruck" and the duckpond thing.. people who travel will want to go to the game

seriously if people actually went to a game to see what exactly the club and fans were about i'm sure we would've shortened this wait but so many people make up there own myths and stick to them

now jog on you MAGGGGGGGGGS RAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHHHHHH :p
