What seems to me very obvious is that the choice of location in an AONB is primarily what has caused the delays. It has given LDC every opportunity to play by the book and delay.

If only we'd not bothered to improve the road infristructure.

It was obvious that there would be huge opposition to the plan - remember there are 39 million day visits to the Downs each year.

And how big are the f***ing South Downs again? I'd like to know how many of those 39 million actually visit that grotty little muddy plowed field. A lot of those 39 million will go to places like the Seven Sisters, Arundel, Petworth, Petersfield, or even the Hampshire side of the downs?

I did. You come across as a pessimistic, under-valued, knee-jerk reactionary with a disproprtionate and mis-placed sense of self-generated intelligence. I'd say you fit that profile perfectly. Your allusion to generalise over what you consider to be the wit, wisdom and behaviour over football fans is a classic case in point.

So in trying to maintain the high moral by the reaction of my supposed threat of physical violence, you immediately lose that ground by casting a disgraceful slur on football fans, without any recourse to establishing facts. Instead, your refer to a media-led stereotype which today exists only on the extreme of the football-supporting society.

You are of course, entitled to your opinion. If anyone can come up with that killer argument against Falmer, I would be very interested to hear it. Telling lies based on ignorance about a large cross-section of society, is, most people would find, highly counter-productive. So when you know what you're on about, your opinion might be treated with some courtesy and reverence. In this instance, it simply isn't the case.
