I'm sure once Slade gets back from his holiday next week we'll start to see the new squad being assembled.

The bloke has just lent us £90M interest free, I wish I had such a shite track record to be able to afford to do that.

The guy is an astute businessman. He will have all angles covered to protect his investment don't worry.

the money he lent is not secured, please do tell me how he could possibly get it back if we went to the wall. you do like your occassional moan up dont you.

Bloom won't give a toss what I think. I just think the jury is out. Time will tell. I question his decisions . Ousting out McGhee, ousting out Wilkins. It has become clear DK had less and less power in the last couple of years and the string were being pulled by Bloom. Therefore he oversaw last seasons debacle and greatly contributed to it.

Sorry, US, have to disagree with you again. I am not a spokesman for the Blooms. The Bloom family have not been pulling the strings, I assure you of that, until now. The Bloom family have simply been putting their hands in their pockets & leaving control of the club to others. If you are looking at someone to moan at then look no further than DK or read yesterday's Argus from the very mild mannered Tommy Fraser.

I'm not worried and given your logic neither should you.

TB knows full well that like the allot of fans out there BHA fans are fickle as anything. They want to watch a winning side playing at a reasonable level. For that to happen the investment needs to take place on the field as well. Obviously the first season at Falmer is going to be popular and I'm sure we'll probably sell quite a few season tickets as well as having the added revenue of increased away support (new ground). However if we are still scrubbing about in the bottom two divisions after a year or two then the crowds will dwindle exactly like they have at Withdean and we won't get anywhere close to hitting the break even figure.

Bloom is no mug and he knows he's not going to make any money out of the football club in the short run (and probably not at all) but all the time he is prepared to keep throwing money at the club he's ok by me.

We may not do anything this season and if we don't it won't be the end of the world if we don't. Bloom has targeted being in the 2nd division by the time we make Falmer so in my eyes that give Slade a season to make sure he gets it right the following one.

Only time will tell as to what happens but surely if a "negative twit" such as myself can spin it in a positive way then you must be able to?

I will lay my cards on the table. Being a tycoon from gambling profits is one notch up from making your money selling drugs or pimping girls imo. Ok, I have an agenda as I hate the bookies but I do know internet gambling websites have and continue to ruin many people's lives. The people who run and profit from these sites don't give a stuff.

Ok, beggars can't be chosers and I suppose we will accept his money but it still leaves a sour taste. This is my opinion only.

This will be a good thread to bounce in 4 or 5 weeks!

In a good way I hope as the quality signings are being lined up, not a negative way :lolol:

I'll be really happy to be wrong

What should they do then?
I put it to you that these people ruined their own lives.

I would like us to make an impressive signing, one that makes other clubs, fans and of course other players no we mean business.
It happened way back when we signed Bobby Smith when we were in the old fourth division. Soon after that many quality players started arriving, like Mel Hopkins who like Smith had been an international the previous season.
But I do not know who that player might be today.

Talking of starting to sign players and sorting out the backroom staff I'm very envious of the new set up at Swindon - they are now paying fees to sign players into their youth set up and starting to scout youngsters in europe....RS please note and copy
