I'd swerve the Amex on the Sunday as well.I’ve said yes though the day and time is my least preferred match timing. It’s the sort of thing I could find myself saying at Sunday lunchtime ‘nah, I’m having a lovely Sunday, I’ll give it a swerve’.

Comments on here (there's a couple above), know a few people put off by the kick-off time who'd normally go above and beyond to get to a cup game. There's just not much buzz I'm seeing really.I'm excited by it. Where's your tangible fug coming from?
I honestly think it'll creep up as the day gets closer. It usually does. Imagine turfing those twats out of the cup and marching into the fifth round. At a 90% drunk Amex under the lights.Comments on here (there's a couple above), know a few people put off by the kick-off time who'd normally go above and beyond to get to a cup game. Albion have had a few 745 kick offs on Fridays for years - Glenn Murray scored in our first game of our promotion winning season i remember at one such kick off. And surely an evening kick off on a Saturday is more convenient for most than a 745 on a Tuesday or Wednesday where we've had such matches since at least the 70s.Nope, stupid time for a game of football. Given my ticket away. Possibly won't even bother watching it on telly.
But the bit in bold makes all the difference. What's the point in going if you are going to miss some of extra time or penalties to ensure that you can get home? A 7:45 KO means getting to the station at 9:45/10PM. An 8PM KO plus extra time and pens could mean getting to the station at 11PM.Albion have had a few 745 kick offs on Fridays for years - Glenn Murray scored in our first game of our promotion winning season i remember at one such kick off. Why is this that much different. ? Is it just that its 8pm not 745pm ? (aside from the understandable risk of pens/extra time - i get that) .
I'm currently 70/30 not going. That may change by Thursday but having done 3 away games in a week and with my sons 18th coming up in Feb, money is a bit tighterI'm STH/Not, primarily because of the kick-off time, particularly given the possibility of extra-time and penalties.
But some of the enthusiasm from those replying that they are going has already given me a bit of FOMO, so I've gone from 100% not going to 90/10.
Let's see how things go between now and then...
Evening games are a ballache full stop and will be one of many contributing factors to me not renewing in a couple of years time. Means I won't get back until gone midnight, if we have extra time and pens will be even later. I've therefore got to find someone to have the dogs overnight which could be a pisstake seeing I'm going to have to do that for the league game the following week.Albion have had a few 745 kick offs on Fridays for years - Glenn Murray scored in our first game of our promotion winning season i remember at one such kick off.
