pasty
A different kind of pasty
Tier 2. Officially excited now
yeah that's my plan, sit on my hands, and if we win wander over towards the away fans once most home fans have left to smile broadly and maybe watch weird home fans fight with the perplex wall like AEK. but to be frank, I would love to be in the away end again (I've only managed ever to get to one away game in the away end - 3 times in the home end at away games - and it was magical)That's a bad idea - If you're planning on going in the home end you want to go as "under cover" as possible - doubt it would be pretty if you were discovered to be an Albion fan, a larger group will make it obvious
All the "decent flights" ie direct to Rome from a London airport went within about 10 minutes of the draw taking place. How much will flights be for those having to wait until tomorrw to see if they have a ticket and will there be any flights
Probably the short lead-up time may have been a factor, they may have had a long time to prepare for the 5k allocations, these schmos only just crept past the Dutch last weekIt's nothing to do with Roma, but the local police - Albion wanted more tickets but were denied.
For the police, away fans in the ground is probably the easy bit of the job.
I guess it's more to do with the concerns of having up to 50% more fans in the city / needing to be protected / having to be shuttled about / whatever.
Frustrating when Leicester were given 5,000 less than two years ago.
If someone wanted to go Tuesday to Saturday flights from East Midlands direct to Rome are £86 return. I used that airport for Marseille and it’s great. Easy parking right next door too.All the "decent flights" ie direct to Rome from a London airport went within about 10 minutes of the draw taking place.
To get there now you either have to allow more time - there are still good and well-priced options direct to Rome on Tuesday for example - and/or be creative. Many of us have already had to be slightly creative due to the way flights went and, now, with the National Strike in Italy on Friday 8th making it tricky to know how easy it will be to reach our return flight from a more northerly airport.
My group, for example, are doing this:
Wednesday - Fly LGW - Milan
Wednesday night - Milan
early Thursday morning - train to Rome
Thursday night - Rome
Friday - one-way hire car from Rome to Verona
Friday - fly from Verona to LGW
Hopefully not - there really is no rush - especially as 'seating' is unallocated.Prediction for how unusable the ticket site will be at 2pm, I'm going for about a good 10-15 minutes
Arguably more fun + more adventure being forced to do it this way.Wednesday - Fly LGW - Milan

I wouldn't have thought so. Club brief suggests country of birth only (unless 1901).Anyone know if we will have to add passport number when buying ticket as we did for Athens
From London, a lot. Doubt you'll find much direct to Rome that will give you much change from £500.How much will flights be for those having to wait until tomorrw to see if they have a ticket and will there be any flights
Maybe from London Stansted, not from East Midlands which is 1.5 hours up the M1 from the M25The lowest quote on their website just minutes ago for Tue-Sat flights is £345. Tue-Fri was slightly cheaper at £320.
.
Can’t find anything from any London airport under £550 for a Weds flight. Starting to have second thoughts now. Can’t really justify that, let alone afford it.From London, a lot. Doubt you'll find much direct to Rome that will give yiu much change from £500.
Indirect, or to Rome but from outside London.
Yesterday Ryanair out of East Midlands (3.5 hours drive) Tuesday night to Sat morning was £60 return.
Edit: (It's £67 still today on ryanair app with carry on bag, just checked)

I have no idea if this will work, but for Athens game, some Albion without tickets emailed AEK direct and asked about VIP seats (where bloom and the bigwigs will bo doubt seat) and they were allowed to buy in a dedicated block direct from AEK.Okay, I've just registered to Roma on their website, but it won't let me buy any home tickets. Is there a waiting period before I can purchase tickets?
