Hopefully not, Im taking my summer hols early and going away easter break so as not to risk missing the first game by any stretch. That said it does mean I miss the last two games at Withdean :( And yes someone will have my ticket.

When I can.

I'll fully admit I've been an absentee/armchair fan over the years.
Reason 1 I didn't grow up or live in the area (most my relatives are from Sussex though, so I used to go to the odd Goldstone game many moons ago, often the Boxing day matches). Fortunately now (moved last year) I live in rural Sussex so only 20/30 minutes from Falmer.
Reason 2 is that I play hockey on Saturdays so I will have to fit any games round that (i.e. game in morning, watch the Albion in the afternoon) plus the odd midweek game.

With that in mind, out of 25 (allowing for cups etc.) home games, I would hope to make 5/10 games so I can't justify a season ticket so will take my chances on the general sale tickets and hopefully an exchange program, if implemented.

I fear if were playing well and winning games like this season the GS tickets will be like gold dust. Obviously the big games will be sell outs anyway but even for the poorer teams coming the the Amex you will find it hard to get tickets unless your on the ball.

I’d love to say I’ll go to all of them but realistically I’ll miss a handful. I know about half a dozen people that will take my smart card, I’d rather put them on an official ticket exchange though.

Are the club doing a ticket buyback scheme or suchlike for STH's who can make particular matches? It may be the best way to ensure the stadium is always full and as many fans as possible get to see our new theatre of flair.

That's fine, I'll take my chances.

I can't justify a ST as I simply won't be able to make more than 5/10 games. If there was an exchange program that GUARANTEED that I get full (or near enough to) price for my ST for games I can't make then it may be an option.

That said, if the games are all sellouts (or close to), this will surely prompt more urgency towards filling in the corners (at least) and maybe the ES upper tier. At the end of the day, I have money in my pocket, does the club want it? ;) :D

Well, I should definitely make the first match.

I always take the approach that anything booked prior to the fixtures coming out takes precedence over any home fixture that may come up on that date. I used to be bothered when that sort of thing happened, but having got the "attended every home match in a season" monkey off my back a few years ago I've been less uptight about missing the odd game.

I'm pretty sure that I may miss a game or two in September though...

Ticket exchange cannot be that difficult, as I have just been told my step nephew ( if that a relationship) has won two tickets from one of his firms suppliers, for a game at the Amex next season. I wonder what he will think of it as he has never been to any sort of football match in his 40 years.

The club might not want your money,i think they would like to keep a waiting list to ensure that people don't give up s/t It makes financial sense???

I've bought an ST for me and my 5yr old son, along with a mate and his 2 kids. Not sure what we're going to do for evening home games given it's too late for an U8 on a school night, and we're told that no attendance in the family stand without an U16 even if your ST is bought with an U16 ticket. This will also apply if say my son wakes up ill on a Saturday morning, I'm basically prevented from attending under the rules.

Whether in reality the stewards will get to know the 'regular' dad's and accept that their kid couldn't make it, or whether this will properly be enforced remains to be seen. If it is, I could be missing a few games if I can't transfer my seat for one reason or another.

I am thinking of fashioning a life size wax work of my boy to take with me in his absence....
