This is a reason why i paid the extra £50 for my 8 year old and didnt sit in the family section, also got a better seat in the middle of respect stand. Well worth the extra £50 imo

eh?

Adult price East Stand - £545 : U10 £136

Adult price Family Stand - £425 : U10 £49

Total difference = £207

Might well be worth the extra £207 to you, but it ain't £50 difference!!

p.s. I think it's 26 rows.

I've bought an ST for me and my 5yr old son, along with a mate and his 2 kids. Not sure what we're going to do for evening home games given it's too late for an U8 on a school night, and we're told that no attendance in the family stand without an U16 even if your ST is bought with an U16 ticket. This will also apply if say my son wakes up ill on a Saturday morning, I'm basically prevented from attending under the rules.

Whether in reality the stewards will get to know the 'regular' dad's and accept that their kid couldn't make it, or whether this will properly be enforced remains to be seen. If it is, I could be missing a few games if I can't transfer my seat for one reason or another.

I am thinking of fashioning a life size wax work of my boy to take with me in his absence....

I thouhgt you just couldn't upgrade the child's ticket. Pretty sure you're allowed to go on your own.

There will be a facility to be relocated if you are unable to take a child to the game. Its in one of Insiders answers on ATC. It might not be possible so late in the day if your child wakes up ill, but for those early to bed school nights you would have plenty of notice.

Insider via ATC
If your son/daughter cannot attend, the best thing to do is to call the ticket office and they will do their best to relocate you. Adults must attend with children in the family area.

I could be slightly out on the rows, but that's what I counted on a photo recently. To be fair, you have to accept the rules as it's great value in the family stand, and pretty good value for you in the East with the freedom to go when you want. I had a slight panic attack when you said just £50 as I'd have done the same, in fact there would probably be an empty family stand right now!

Thanks for this, I thought so, and you're right, should be plenty of time to arrange a seat transfer for the evening games. As I've bought with a mate we are 2 adults and 3 kids, so it would take a super bug to knock them all out on the same Saturday for us not to be going with at least one of them! (I was told 2 adults with 1 child is acceptable).

After waiting all this time, there's no way I'll be booking any holiday during next season.

So every game for me.
