And if not have you got someone who already wants that seat? Summer holiday means missing 1 or 2 games but have a fair few who would like to sample the falmer!
When I can.
I'll fully admit I've been an absentee/armchair fan over the years.
Reason 1 I didn't grow up or live in the area (most my relatives are from Sussex though, so I used to go to the odd Goldstone game many moons ago, often the Boxing day matches). Fortunately now (moved last year) I live in rural Sussex so only 20/30 minutes from Falmer.
Reason 2 is that I play hockey on Saturdays so I will have to fit any games round that (i.e. game in morning, watch the Albion in the afternoon) plus the odd midweek game.
With that in mind, out of 25 (allowing for cups etc.) home games, I would hope to make 5/10 games so I can't justify a season ticket so will take my chances on the general sale tickets and hopefully an exchange program, if implemented.
I fear if were playing well and winning games like this season the GS tickets will be like gold dust. Obviously the big games will be sell outs anyway but even for the poorer teams coming the the Amex you will find it hard to get tickets unless your on the ball.
That's fine, I'll take my chances.
I can't justify a ST as I simply won't be able to make more than 5/10 games. If there was an exchange program that GUARANTEED that I get full (or near enough to) price for my ST for games I can't make then it may be an option.
That said, if the games are all sellouts (or close to), this will surely prompt more urgency towards filling in the corners (at least) and maybe the ES upper tier. At the end of the day, I have money in my pocket, does the club want it?
