Had assumed we were not getting any more new players when I posted this thread. Will have to wait a few days now to see who (if it happens) they are. Then review the question again.

If it happens and if they are a striker and a midfielder, then I'd be pretty convinced we're ready to go.

I don't think he is a holding midfielder - not in the archetypal Makelele way. He may not be the sort of midfielder that's going to run beyond the strikers like Hammond, but he likes to play further forward than you are suggesting.
Anyway from what I remember of Adams teams he like the support from the strikers to come from the wings with a fairly solid central two in midfield.

There is still room for improvement but I think 99% of fans would have been more than happy with Hawkins, Livermore, Mcleod, Richards and Virgo.

Players like Robinson and Chamberlain will need to step up when needed but I think we should be happy and content with the squad we have now...
