Sticking to a plan that is clearly working is not thin-skinned.
Working up till now. Leeds went downhill after Bielsa left.

PB said this on Sunday:
“It’s not perfect, we are not perfect, so the system itself is still being refined season after season”.

Alluding to not the best recent transfer windows? Which they aim to fix.
However, this is good self awareness and what a lot of people wanted to hear.

If we do get it right again we’ll be back in Europe again in 25/26 IMO.

The foundations are there. Let’s see if the next building is a beautiful castle or a shack.

I'm normally an optimist, but I have a nagging doubt that the last 3 seasons may have just been perfect timing.

My worry is that our successful model is not primarily about building a first team squad, it's about identifying value.
That means we aren't necessarily targetting what our manager needs, right now.
A good example of this is our recruitment of goalkeepers. Beadle is seemingly the latest in a long line of keepers destined to never/rarely play for us.

It's possible that the team we had in 22/23 was a perfect storm, which we may never see again.
I hope not, but i do worry about the fairly obvious gaps in our first team.

The vast majority of criticism is ill-founded and based on daft opinions without knowing the facts, that’s why. I don’t ever eagerly await anything from WAB

Do you know the facts?

We’ve got a FAB that is neutered, the club pushing back against the regulator and a local media who don’t / won’t criticise or challenge the Club in any form.

I don’t think anything or anyone is perfect but, as long as no one offers slanderous / libellous / offensive comments around why shouldn’t supporters be allowed to make comments that poke the bear if it then brings dialogue?

WAB was sanctioned by the club because he called out sportswashing. No racism involved but the club decided it was. If you have a group of people within an organisation making decisions based on their moral outrage and personal sensitivities then everyone is potentially vulnerable. And if the answer to this is ‘TB invested the money so he can do what he wants’ then that’s contrary to the freedom of expression that we’re granted in the UK.

Yes, the club can ban who they want but controlling the narrative around the club is thin skinned, suggests fragile egos and, to me, is autocratic.

Whilst I eagerly await the WAB article this week on their likely disagreement with the ending of RDZ's reign, (see their article about RDZ leaving and the impending critique of the decision, highlighting the clubs handling of criticism).

I feel that recent events have made me question the clubs seeming inability to handle any criticism.

So, is the club thin skinned and unable to tale any criticism? Or are we just reading too much into things over the past couple of years?
Your last sentence is the answer.

Annoyingly, CP suddenly have at least 6 great players and a briliiant manager.

Things so quickly. Hopefully Starlizard and Bloom have a transfer window that genuinely solves our obvious weaknesses.
6? The wingers (when fit) and then?

Why the "we" ? Have you suddenly become our unelected spokesperson ? I think you mean 'I' and the answer is that you're over thinking it .... or the opposite and not thinking at all.

I’m not sure what they’ve said/done that marks them as unable to take any criticism? Most things I’ve read they seem happy enough to admit that some things have been done wrong or they’ve made mistakes, that’s the complete opposite of being unable to take criticism.
Let's flip this around.

Why on earth would anyone start a thread alleging our owner and CEO can't take any criticism?

I hesitate to offer a theory and so won't. Even the idea that this is something worthy of discussion makes me angry.

I don't think anything has changed here. The club definitely doesn't handle criticism well, that's not new. They need to be perceived as a 'Well run club' in all aspects.

But the issue here does seem to be that RDZ wants to push for Europe by making first team ready signings in multiple positions and the club don't. So it's not going to work. While I'd have liked to see more compromise, better to end it now than argue for another 6 months.
Are you suggesting the....RDZ....might leave the Albion?

Apart from that wild speculation, would you mind directing me to the evidence that the club can't take criticism, and then explaining to me why this is important?

Sorry, missed the memo, but who is WAB and what happened? Someone banned by the club for saying what exactly?

I suppose it depends on wether you are in the Dwayne/junior camp or Chailey Camp

This window coming up will be very interesting as to how the club is viewed by the media which seems to be a big PBOBE thing.

One could argue that with returning players and the African laddie banging in the goals the club may hang on to its profits and not splash the cash at all. Mitoma March Milner Estupian JPVH Ferguson Undav , Rushford(sp?) Sima, the African striker… that is a lot to come back and you could make an argument that Enciso buonanotte Gilmore all have another year under their belt so could push on

Playing devils advocate we could end up signing no one

Losing people is another matter though. Pedro? Gross? Mitoma?

We are Brighton. Tweet criticising Man City's ownership.
Sorry I missed this…, a Brighton fan criticised the ownership on a social media platform - nothing to do with the Albion and the Albion ban him/her/they etc. how does that work ?

Come on. We've stated that there is no need for a FAB or a regulator and banned people for social media posts. They have also rejected rulings by the ombudsman re bans.

Does it matter? Yes it does. Media control and banning were the tools of Bellotti. Ok, so he was a 'baddy' and Tony is a 'goodie' so there's no need for anyone to be existentially worried, nor is anyone at all associated with Brighton suggesting there's anything wrong with anything at board or ownership level. But that being the case, why would you not welcome fan involvement, open discussion and regulation? I'm genuinely baffled.

It's a website / Twitter account run by more than one person. I believe the tweet insinuated City's win was paid for in blood money or similar, though I suspect it's long been taken down.

Agreed - given how good the regulators have been within the energy and water sectors why wouldn’t you want a public organisation like that involved in football

So your answer to clubs like Reading and Everton at the moment or Bury and Macclesfield in the past is 'carry on with the wild west, because regulators in completely different industries are hamstrung'?
