They're streets ahead of us because they now have access to the Premier League riches. And even if they get relegated next season (which obviously is what we all want) they'll start the next three seasons with parachute payments giving them an immediate advantage over us. I think the fact that we've managed (for only the second time in about thirty years) to spend a couple of seasons in the same division as them has given a lot of Brighton fans a false sense of perspective. What a crock of shit.
How are Palace streets ahead of us ? They may be playing in a higher league next season but the majority of Albion (and others) would recognise that the Albion had a better squad/team than Palace last season - the final league table indicates that. Palace managed to win a mini cup competition tagged onto the end of the season - a competition they very nearly didn't get into until 10 minutes from the end of the last game.
Anyone who saw the Playoff game at Selhurst would know that Albion were the better side that day and very little difference in the two teams at the Amex. Apart from their Premiership place (and the financial rewards that come with it) what would you want that Palace have? Mind you there are several Prem sides that I wouldn't want to swap places with.
Come this time next season I should imagine you will be back happy with supporting the Albion rather than the plastics from Selhurst.
And honestly, the most important thing next season is what WE do. I can't see what you don't get that and think it's a 'crock of shit' to be more concerned about our own performances to try and catch them up (again).
