When I married my (now ex) Dutch wife, we considered a double barrelling of our surnames. She was van den Heuvel, and I am Hall.

We were going to go for Hall van den Heuvel.

Now the spelling here gets a bit odd, but she assured me the Dutch pronunciation then translated into English would have made us "Mr and Mrs Bumhole from the Hills"

We gave it a miss
