I test drove the clubman type a couple of weeks ago,the standard fair type and though it looks nice as you see yourself go by glass fronted shops,i dont think it ticked all the boxes for me,add to that i struggled to get my fishing gear in the back.A nice drive lacking a bit of same class power and the controls a bit naff.

My mate has one, great little car I'm assuming thats the supercharged version still and not the Turbo version personally the Turbo is a better engine but both are f*** fast and great handling cars

you don't get much in the back seats mind and the iPod interface is crappy !!!

Driven my dad's Mini One quite a bit, great fun to drive and pretty quick too, so I imagine the Cooper S will really go.

I had an '03 Copper S for 3 years - great fun to drive. Basically a luxury go-cart. Very fast and handles well. I had run flat tyres and the sports suspension so after a couple hundred miles driving in one go you felt like you had been rallying! How expensive are they now as they were really holding their price a couple of years back?

not when you rev em they aint.. they're manly. innit..

Sure, I've heard nothing but good things about the performance of them. I'd love to "have a go" in one, they look great fun. But its still a birds car really, innit ?

Old dear is selling her 03 Cooper S at the moment as she needs something with 5 doors, otherwise she's have no intention of getting rid, crackin little car.

The newer Tubo's are better fuel economy but the older Supercharger sounds much nicer and is far better fun as the power is consistantly higher. The car is quicker than most on the road but it depends what you've had before?

In all honesty this car is all about the corners anyway, straight line speed is good but there can't be many better handling front whell drive cars on the road than the Mini, certainly i've never driven one!

Now after my sales pitch if you fancy an 03 Cooper S in Graphite with about 70k on the clock thats got a FSH from Mini PM me! :bigwave:

ps. Whatever you do if you like your cars do not accept less than a Cooper S, they are miles better than the standard Cooper

I haven't got one but one of these would be far more suitable and have more street cred for a budding rock star, BMW Minis are a bit girly

Sorry mate but as much as I love my new Alfa GT, the Mito is just too small and girlie. Perfect car for this missus but a Cooper S can definately be classed as blokes car.

I can understand where you're coming from Easy but I can assure you mate, once you have driven one properly you'll know it's a blokes car!

I though that until I saw one in the flesh, they are great looking cars and being an Alfa, guaranteed to put a smile on your face once behind the wheel. I know they are sticking a 3.2 litre v6 engine in an upcoming one, how girly is that??
