I'm happy to stay in the championship.
History up to now says Brighton are a 3rd division club so these are our glory years.
Football changes quickly , you can go from hero to zero in no time and this (combined with the history of Albion disappointments) is probably some reason why some are calling for it all now now now. Teams have spent millions and years trying to get up so to think we will definitely get up in 2 years is ridiculous. Managers leave / players leave / fans can drop off / momentum changes / finances etc. There are too many variables which make it hard to simply "be content" sitting in the championship for a few years.
In all likeliness this period we are enjoying is probably the best opportunity to make it. I suspect we will mimic Swansea where another manager will come in and carry on the good work whilst refining it. At what point it will be decided that Poyet has taken us as far as he can is an interesting one. It may never be known if he pushes on. I am not against the notion that a new manager in would mean negative impact on the playing side however this happens.
As for the premiership , if we are in with a chance of survival for a few years I'm sure it would be amazing. Getting tonked every week of course would be shit but you dont have to be in the premier league to experience that. The peak of my life being an Albion fan I think would be following the team round Europe. Getting up gets us closer to this somehow happening.
