It’s luck like that that makes me think I should stop looking at this thread, every time I think I’ve done really well, I find out I haven’t

It's a lot to do with how the brain is wired I reckon. Plenty of 2s/3s and I'm getting 4s/5s and can't for the life of me think of the word. This week they seem to be words that naturally float about in my head. Can be the only explanation for 2 x 2s and a 1 this week as it's not skill!*

I doubt it unless there is a way to log into the NYT site for games and use that log in for all devices, otherwise there would be no way for it to know you have completed them on an other device to keep your stats going. (It recognisees you by cookies on your machine, so if you ever clear them, it will reset your score even if you play it daily)

The only other option i can think of is to take your desktop with you too

Thank you for the feedback, genuinely.
Unusually (so my research tells me) it is not cookies that keep track of who you are / what you scored, but a local file stored on your device / laptop / desktop etc.
I am still coming to the conclusion that lugging my desktop with me might be easier than finding a tool to edit that file, though
