I've got a bit of a soft spot for Newcastle, they DO have good fans and I believe they enhance the Prem. That said, it would be funny if they went down. It wouldn't last forever - they'd return eventually.
I've been saying this for a few weeks, but I reckon they're in REAL danger. Birmingham, Bolton, Reading and Wigan are all capable of scraping enough points together for survival, and that just leaves Sunderland. It's an interesting one - I reckon they'll survive by the skin of their teeth and Keane's men will go down.
The interesting thing is how those players will react over the next 3 months. You could imagine the likes of Viduka, Carr, Given, Duff, Smith, Emre and Butt all lining up moves away right now. A combo of Keegan, McDermott, Hughton and Wise is the coaching equivalent of the Teletubbies - Nicky Butt must be thinking what the f*** have I done to deserve this.
