Has anyone had any luck recently with any decent fish at the Marina or Shoreham arm?
I don't really want to waste my time, if not much is happening out there atm.

Cheers. :)

I just cycled down to Newhaven Harbour to watch the ferry go out. Quite a few fishing. Whilst I was down there they caught two flat things. Don't ask me what what type of fish they are lol.

My son goes off the marina and always comes back with a load of mackerel. He sticks to fresh water fishing most of the time as sea fishing is so smelly!!

Beach and inshore fishing a bit rubbish at the moment due to "May water" - caused by algae blooming, always happens April/May every year, should clear pretty soon.I fish down Goring and Witterings with peelers in the next couple of weeks and should see some decent Smoothhounds,Bass and strap Congers. In the past I have also had some small Turbot on frozen sandeel(around 4-5lb. mark).Langstone harbour worth a bash as well for some decent Bass on Lug,squid and peeler - fish the entrance just before low tide and a couple of hours up before current gets too strong.Good luck!

Back in 2006 out at Kingmere i had 3 doubles in one early morning session and have never had one anywhere near that size since.

Good work mate,I had a Bass just over 17lb. by the old hot pipe at Shoreham and one at 14lb. live baiting off the Southwick arm -put both back alive, would love to think both are still swimming around breeding lots of baby Bass.
