Any luck sea fishing?

Has anyone had any luck recently with any decent fish at the Marina or Shoreham arm?
I don't really want to waste my time, if not much is happening out there atm.

Spent about 3 hours shore fishing next to Shoreham arm last week, Had one small whiting between 3 of us, not good. Brighton marina has its own website with catch reports, usually updated on a Sunday I think. trial fish

Plenty of Mackerel off the marina come the summer. Shoreham used to be good for Bass when the power station was going, not sure now. [MENTION=12422]Taybha[/MENTION] is probably the bloke to ask.

Nothing so far from anyone.

I just have it as a day out nowadays with my boy, along with a couple of bottles of Dark Stars' Sunburst.

It's all been trawled.

cheers guys, if nothing is happening yet might make the trip along to Newhaven seems to be better down there.

The best sport I've had along these waters , are off the hot pipes near carats cafe. On a low tide when the water is warm and clear its excellent for bass fishing, spinning with dexters. In a 3 hour session last year, I had 27 schoolies, with 5 keepers.
Its normal to catch double figure amount of fish in a short session if conditions are right off the pipes

was down at shoreham off the west arm a week or so ago, and had several smoothounds. all on a King rag / blow lug combo.

always a great scrap. However this was after dark on the up tide.

Listen to you lot carping on. Newhaven is the plaice to catch decent numbers these days. I would skate on over there in the next couple of weeks. Shoreham is poor these days, a load of old pollocks, you will catch cod all there.
