Just seen this outside my house, not sure what it is but slightly worried by what appears to be a RAF emblem on the said object? Any ideas?

I would say 5 to 6ft long, roughly. Edit: also it appears the end isn't pointed, as that can't be seen clearly in the picture but not 100%.

Looks like a poster tube to me. The black bit in the middle I assume is a handle - are you able to tell what material it is? Or would getting that close require you to change your pants?
