This sort of thing reminds me of when I was lodging with a workmate in the late 70's. I was coming in through the conservatory when I tripped over something. "What the hell is that?" says I. "Looks like a 2lb Anti-Tank shell", he replied, as though this was a perfectly reasonable thing to keep there. It actually WAS said shell, left sculling about his house from his days in the Home Guard! But then, this was the only guy I've ever met who LOST at Russian roulette and survived. He had fired at such an angle that he "only" lost part of the top of his skull. Absolute nutter.
