i'd like to think i'm a responsible cyclist (Helmet, lights, red lights etc) so why do GROWN MEN have to scream things out of passenger windows, or throw food stuffs, cigarette ends etc out of the window while the equally mature driver (do you still have to be over 17 to drive?) pisses himself laughing?

PS yes I drive as well

haha , cant say i had that , any lip & I offer them to stop and sort it out , only once did a car stop , but he soon shat it and wheel spun off as I was gonna hammer him

I`d like to think that I am a well adjusted member of society but I do think that all cyclists should be horribly tortured and then thrown off Beachy Head for all the problems they cause on our roads and pavements.

I can't stand cyclists they just get in the way, and never wear helmets whilst cycling in the road.

Bikes existed before cars - you get in our way - and we're not required to wear helmets.

The only time I have ever got in trouble with the police was when I cycled on the pavement in front of Cardiff central police station with no lights after 5pm. I only have myself to blame.

So car drivers own the pavements now? No wonder so many cyclists get killed!! Not safe on the road or the pavement.

What about the tossers that ride on the pavement when im walking?
Knock them off. I tend to. If the road is good enough for me, it's good enough for everyone else. Same as pedestrians in the middle of the road will get shouted at if they are in my way.

No, you've "won" when they're on the road, because thats where we're legally entitled to be. If you don't like it, don't drive.

I double up as both a car driver and pedestrian. So I doubly hate them.

Try being a cyclist and you'll see things in a third light.

What would cyclists know about lights.

I’ve heard it actually legal/or will soon be legal for a cyclist to go through a red light as long as you’re not crossing the line of traffic and nothing is coming the way you’re going. i.e. turning left at a cross roads and nothing else is going down that junction.

Thats good then because it will then become legal to run them over if they do so.

I think people should be encouraged to get out their cars and walk or cycle to work if it is not too far.

Luckily for me work is about 3 miles away, and it is quicker for me to cycle.

3 miles, it's not worth taking the car. On a lot of occasions I am now beating the traffic from Newhaven.

By all means its difficult for mothers who have kids to sort out, and difficult for people who have no choice but to drive because of the distance, and for people who have illness, but if you work is local and you are healthy cycle and stop clogging up the roads.

I get the train from Seaford to Hove every morning, and back in the evening. This leaves me a 10 minute walk at the Hove end (and about 1 minute in Seaford) to get a bit of fresh air. If I worked in Newhaven then I would cycle in, especially with the new cycle track around the nature reserve.
