Interesting you mention this. I was sat behind the subs warming-up on Saturday and was surprised how uninterested he was on what was happening on the pitch. He was far too busy talking to Onana via his gloved hand to care about the game. I was generally unimpressed how much love there was amongst the opposing subs and man hugs going on!
Probably worth offering to take him for another season on loan, but on financial terms less favourable to Barca - after all, they'll be wanting him in the shop window, and the Albion is a good place for that.
I do wonder whether he would be willing to accept a pay cut to help out Barca. They reportedly need to reduce their wage bill by £200mil in the summer, so offloading his £200k per week would be a fair chunk of that. I think he's unlikely to regain a first team place in the Barca team or any other major European club to be honest.

I think there are many examples of players accepting transfers for less wages because their club has an accepted an offer and they no longer feel wanted. I think when it's the club where they came through the academy who are in financial trouble the chances may be higher.
