He should be scoring Worldies, who cares if he's only had a couple of subs appearances after being injured in November after major injuries over the last years, or that he's still playing a system and with players he doesn't know, or the fact he's just turned 21. Tbf he was, but after 24 game absence I wasn't expecting much. Just surprised he was sent on to win a game. I thought he needed a gentle introduction when we were already winning.

Ansu Fati was good when he came on yesterday, added some acceleration and attacking intent. If he can get/stay fit he'll be a big player for us the rest of this season.

I'm intrigued about what will happen to Fati in the summer, expect his wages will be too rich for us even on loan again, but who else will go for him - Villa, Newcastle? Maybe he will take a bit paycut to join a smaller Spanish team? Could he end up somewhere Stateside?

If we can't afford his wages then there is no way a smaller Spanish team would be able to.
I think it all depends on Barcelona and their finances. Can they afford to keep Ansu as part of their wage structure? Not really. Can they sell him for the type of money they expected when he signed his contract? Very unlikely. A loan is probably a likely option again, to either us or a similar sized side that can afford to cover the majority of his wages.
Barca will be banking on him having a good, injury free, season and either a) reintegrating him as an important first team player, or b) selling him for enough money that they are able to improve their financial status. I think that was the plan for this season but unless he has a world-beating end to the season, the injury may have put those plans back a year.

His priority is going to remain getting his fitness up and getting the minutes needed to hit the ground running for a tilt at the euros squad and his return to Barca, or more likely his sale to someone richer than us
That's the thing about getting loanees in, they may have different priorities
