from the fountain of SPIFFINGLY GOOD IDEAS.

If we can have foreign managers in the England job,why don't we all just switch from interNATIONAL games to interLEAGUE games, then the massively superior Premiership could sweep all before it,and we wouldn't have to watch ENGLISH deadbeats losing at home to third world countries!

Voila.............said it was brilliant!

I think that he meant a a representative Premier League Team vs Seria A or La Liga.

In the 50/60s there were games where the Football League played against other countries league teams.

Yep,that sort of thing........only to TOTALLY do away with the England XI,and put the multi talented unbeatable Premier league team in its place. It is simple, and wonderful. Our multi cultural country with an international team.

What would be even more brilliant would be to leave it how it is and restrict each club to 2 foreign nationals.

This is moderately brilliant, but depends on using no foreign nationals on the management side of the England team.

True - same issue but slightly different isn't it. I'd like to see more ENGLISH players coming up through the ranks - if we knock out loads of Johnny Foreigners it should help English football without a doubt. However the future of the game is in our PLAYERS, yes it would be superb to have an English national coach, but there isn't an english manager who can make magic out of the shower of s**t we currently have. If we put more stock in our players and developing the future of football in the country, the manager wouldn't then be required to make a silk purse out of a pigs ear like he is now, which is why we have to go hunting for the man who will turn straw into gold.

You speak with straight tongue, bloodbrother.Fabio Stiltskini is not the man to turn straw to gold, just another straw man, clutched at because people have limited knowledge of him here.He is foreign, ergo he must be good.

List of all he has won in England:

List of what he will win:

Because you can't stop international Europeans from working here.
Add in a couple of internationals from other continents, and voila - same situation.

Ah - I see - guess its easier in Australia where we limit foreign nationals in our NBA etc...

How many times does it need be said nobody is stopping them working/being employed by a Premiership club what the league are doing is saying you cannot play more than X number so you must use a rotation system or not sign them in the first place. That would not be illegal.

How?

It will just means there would be a worse standard of English player in the top flight.

Are you saying if we restrict the amount of overseas players this will make the players who couldnt hack top flight football now better players?

Its not an immediate fix by any means. Of course if we limited the foreign nationals right now and filled the spots with locals, the standard would drop, no question. But England doesn't seem to be able to develop local talent to move through the ranks to the top flight - and I'm wondering why? I think a part of that is because there are too many foreigners.
