Another BRILLIANT idea

England lives or dies by the quality of players of our nationality.
If they ain't good enough, then trying to hamstring foreign players from performing in our league won't suddenly make our lads brilliant players.

If anything, the outside competition for places ought to have the opposite effect, and make home-grown work harder and play to an improved level.

Apparently the very game, was invented in Britain - but we couldn't win a World Cup at it, even in the earlier days. There is no foundation for the idea that English players should be the best in the World.

I didn't say that it would.

How many times does it need be said nobody is stopping them working/being employed by a Premiership club what the league are doing is saying you cannot play more than X number so you must use a rotation system or not sign them in the first place. That would not be illegal.

How many times do you need to be told IT WOULD STILL BE ILLEGAL.

Correct, I fail to see how if Arsenal where forced to play the likes of Ryan Smith this would help the England team?

Hang on,we have all gone off track here. The SPIFFINGLY GOOD IDEA is to scrap the remainder of thEngland team, the management half already gone, and replace it with a team of foreigners which would truly represent our current football system.

When you see the hugely inflated prices slapped on English players is it any wonder clubs look abroad for players?

So why isn't it illegal to say foreigners can't play for the English national team?

And why can we have foreign managers, but not foreign players?

And why can we have foreign managers, but not foreign players?

Wake up at the back!

The SPIFFINGLY GOOD IDEA encompasses this:we have nobody good enough to manage England,so we get Fabio Foreigner. The logical next step is to use the foreign players in our system to represent English football,as English footballers are stunningly ordinary.

Ah,people may say, then it is no longer English.

But having a foreign management team is OK?

Never quite sure, but is this Q E D,or just stating the bleeding obvious?

Well the spaces would have to be filled by English and the money saved from paying these ludicrous salaries of foreign nationals would be spent on developing the ENGLISH players in their own teams and youth feeder teams, thus giving the national squad a heck of a lot more decent players to choose from in the following years! Its not a quick fix but in the long run if the FA had the balls to do something they'd reap the dividends...
