It was a horrible error, no two ways about it. Given the circumstances and the occasion it will no doubt haunt him for a while. Guess he's been on borrowed time at the Albion for a while - not really to do with today, he's just a good League 1 keeper but doesn't dominate enough in the Championship.

As an aside, there is no way a player should be having a free shot from 20 yards out in that situation but guess they were all hands to the pump because of CA's lack of command as said above.

Finally, crap mistake as it was, I wonder if he was a bit caught out that he shot went down the middle rather than one of the corners. Either way, should have saved it.

Paul Hazlewood managed to get a snap of the moment the goal went in....

Now I've calmed down I actually agree with you about him.

He punches a ball when it's an easier option to catch and hold it, and when he does do the silly punching he puts it more often than not into danger, his distribution is fecking awfull, and as soon as I saw him on the team sheet I feared the worst.

I will give him credit though in that his angles have improved.

Yeah, come out of the city ground turn 45 degrees walk down the road and dont come back.

Very much this.

The trouble with the guy between the sticks is that when a howler is made it's focused upon, where as any one else on the park it's only talked about in general.

Sid, trust me his saves were nothing special just standard stuff. His double save was because of his earlier error..........

I blame Ashley Barnes for getting sent off, Murray for getting sent off at Tranmere and not waving to the fans at Brentford, Greer for getting sent off against Rochdale, Wood for missing a pen at Southampton, Jimmy Melia for taking us down, Smith for not scoring in the Cup Final and of course Mullery for getting rid of Malcolm Poskett.

Why are we so fickle?

Should we have put a youth team keeper in?

I wasn't actually on about today, more so goalkeepers in general.

It's a strange lot being a keeper, you train differently, you play differently and hell, you even wear a different colour shirt to the rest.

The Goalie makes a mistake and you don't win, it's all his fault, not of that of the other 10 of whom a few have missed their chances.

Oh no, let's always pick on the bloke who used to wear the number 1 on the back of his shirt, the bloke in green.

They always say you have to be a bit of a fruitcake to play in goal, I'm surprised that wasn't your position.

No, I was an old styled, typical English centre forward,

you know............

completely crap.

At 89 minutes he was going to be praised and congratulated for his performance in a win.

Amazing the difference a minute in football makes.
