Yeah I don't think he's too bad. He does get stuff wrong on occasion, but he's very open and honest in general. Also gives good twitter commentary on match day when I can't make a match.

Doen't bother me at all. He's a local newspaper journalist, he has a job to do.

I guess sometimes it seems like he picks up on stuff after NSC does, but on the other hand he has to at least try and verify information before publishing it, unlike the rumours and gossip you get on here.

This. As is often the case I think it is the vocal minority who make it appear that everyone thinks he is a tosser...

Rumours and gossip? I take NSC as a factual forum!
I had better change my name to Gully Ball then?

Yeah I dont know why people dislike him. I think it may be because people want a reporter that supports The Albion instead of one that supports Stoke. Personally I think it's much better to have an unbiased view rather than one that could be influenced by their saupport of the club.

I do not have a problem with Naylor but I hate the Argus website. All flashing bits and pieces and takes ages to load.

And don't forget that bloody McDonalds advert that plays over and over again. Not the fault of Argus per se but of NewsQuest who own quite a few of the local news websites.

Neither here nor there
I think the Naylor-bashing is always a bit puerile. He does a decent job and I suspect most people appreciate it ... as a lone journo tasked with sourcing new stories about BHA pretty much every day, he's in an exposed position and it seems some people love to pounce whenever a story backfires. Which isn't that often, to be fair.

If he comes on here looking for seeds for stories ... good on him. That's exactly what I'd expect him to do. In the old days, journos used to hang around pubs in search of gossip, some of which was worth following up and some of which wasn't. Messageboards like NSC take on some of that role these days and if he wasn't checking the site out, he'd be crazy.

He called some people on here 'morons' or something, not sure I can remember.
Yeah, I don't have a problem with him, but he and Brian Owen do have a very jaundiced and inaccurate view of 'internet supporters'. Just jealous that a lot of us can write better than them I suppose!

He is a just a hack doing his job. He's old school though and hasn't a clue how the Internet works!

I'd very much doubt that - any journo worth his or her salt knows EXACTLY how to use the Internet. Essential for the job these days
