He is a fella just trying to do his job. He got a bit touchy at the beginning of the season, and thought people on here were being ungrateful after the Amex opened. To some extent, he had a point.

Naylor is okay. Doesn't do a bad job at all for a regional hack although his somewhat sanctimonious "we don't publish rumours" has taken a hefty old knock this week

he was commenting on rumours. not publishing them. And lets face it, a back page headline by the sun with us linked to an england legend, deserves some coverage !

If you like -your view is your view but I really don't see it that way....................... the Vicente article was also deliberately skewed and already out of date in order to encourage feedback. Okay if you are a Sun reader and you want your local rag to reach the same standards of populist reporting but when you preach one thing and do another expect criticism.
The front page crap from last week I accept to be purely newsdesk stuff but the sports pages seem to be heading in the same direction from what I am reading. Maybe it's what's needed to stay afloat, But hey, I live miles away and it's not "my" paper.
