But we only beat Newcastle because we were lucky, United twice because they’re shit, Chelsea twice because they weren’t in form, Man City for some other reason that wasn’t because we were good, forgot what the reason we beat Bournemouth was…..and should have beaten everyone else and be top of the league . @junior said so.
of.

f***ing love boring. The world is too full of gobshites.
Boring has it's advantages definitely

I admit I personally love having an out and out charisma merchant as the Albion's manager ... I still love Poyet and RDZ ...... someone unpredictable, someone you feel you can really get behind when they speak. But even I have to acknowledge that that comes with serious downsides and a short shelf life.

What we need as a club now is some stability. We don't need any more unnecessary churn of personnel. What we need from the head coach, is someone competent, someone steady, someone to represent the club well to the new fans we're gaining. That's exactly what we have.

Early days for me. I'm happy with the recent wins but he is very boring, I can't watch his press conferences because his conversation is so dull.
Literally no one wants you to watch them so you could just... not.

Potter wasn't funny either. And not even RDZs greatest fans could stand watching 20 minutes of him trying to express three sentences in English. Never seen a presser with Chris Hughton but my guess is they were dull as dishwater.

They're not even meant to be watched, it was never the idea. The original plan was for you to read a swift summary in a newspaper, not watch 15 minutes of a reluctant interviewee who can only win through saying as little as possible.

Bang on. I never particularly liked Hughton, but he was exactly what we needed. Potter was dull as shit but oversaw the transition that needed to happen into progressive football brilliantly. Loved Gus and RDZ. They aren't what we need at the moment though, unfortunately. That kind will return when the time is right.

... they were dull as dishwater.

....
The original saying was "dull as ditchwater" (which is the phrase I know and will continue to use). However, it does seem that dishwater has become increasingly common.

I agree it should be ditchwater, i.e its colour being dull rather than clear, rather than what would happen if you were to consume it in any large quantity, as that definitely would not be dull.

Oh! Didn't know that. Ditchwater it is.

There's no Swedish translation of that expression so I've not "naturally" encountered it before (mis)hearing it. But it does make sense. Dishwater can be quite action packed after all.

Indeed. I always do the washing up at least one hour before going to bed otherwise I'd never get to sleep.

I avoid it entirely... too intense.
