Webster was superb tonight,MOTM, best game in the stripes and looked a £20 million player.

But, Dunks goal line block in the first half from Ings,a thing of beauty, if there is another English cb who could do that, I haven't seen them.

You dont have to look far, Duffy is the name, him and Dunks best pair in the league

For all the Ben White fans from Leeds and Brighton take note, it has taken Webster a full season to find his feet and start to look a Premier League player. There is no guarantee White will take any less time to adapt to the same standard of football, he might not even make the grade. Leeds would be taking a massive risk starting him in every game, he may adapt well, he may also have his confidence destroyed against better players but more likely a softly softly introduction with Brighton where he could learn from a player who has had a similar path and bide his time for a permanent berth. Webster has finished the season on a high but i am sure he himself, supporters, coaches and manager alike will admit he has made numerous mistakes through the season. Now he has one season under his belt he will be looking to improve his confidence and reliability in his performances. With an improving Webster, more experience, a stalwart like Dunk and an emerging talent of White i see little chance for Duffy who i think has probably played his last game for us. (Off to Leeds for 10 milĺion...yes please):O

Wise words, except the last bit, Duffy deserves more respect than that

But Ben White is often discussed as one of the best players of the season in the championship and been one of the key players for the likely champions.Webster had a decent season for the team that finished 8/9th

Knockaert is a fantastic championship player but it didn't go his way in the premier league. There is no guarantee a player can make the step up. Mr Potter seems like a chap who knows his onions and seems to go all lush when talking about young Ben, we'll see

Yes sorry i should have expanded on that. Duffy has been brilliant for us, a fans favourite who always gives his all. If he was only a bit part player in our squad next season who would deny him a chance of a regular place in a first team in The Premier league. That team could be Leeds United and lets not kid ourselves would be a massive move for him. On top of all that if we could get a fee in the region of 10 million......well happy days all round.:albion2:

It has to be said we have rose tinted spectacles regarding the Brighton centre halves, the regular England ones are rarely called upon for last ditch tackles as they are usually part of a dominant team, and Van Dijk for example spends most games smoking a cigar as he occasionally passes the ball around.

Ye he’s played a lot for England :moo:

I'm not saying he will definitely make the step up, just that there's more to suggest he would than Webster would

I think you are underestimating the plaudits that Webbo received when he was with Bristol City and even prior to that.
If Ben White makes the step up then that is fantastic for us.
Win, Win.
