Coming away, overheard two Fulham fans "can't believe they did us again, after we outplayed them again!"

We have the luck of champions :)

Absolute nonsense - We only stepped up our game for about 10 or 15 mins in both games and each time we turned it around fro a losing to a winning position. Just imagine what we would have done to them if we had decided to turn up for 90 minutes in both matches.

Fulham are definitely a decent side in this league but when we are at ourselves they are no match for us. Not at this point in time anyhow

Everything looked off point in the first half. They closed out our midfield options and forced us in to risky long balls which looked "hit and hope". Sometimes we couldn't even execute simple line balls. Knocky's awful crossfield ball to Murray when the latter was through was symptomatic of a poor half which Bong, Skalak and Bruno in particular will want to forget.

For me, though, it was no coincidence that we improved as soon as Skalak went off. He's not quick enough and there's no point having a dead ball specialist on when you can't get out of your own penalty area.

When we turned it on though, we were sublime. Today was as good as I've seen either Stockdale or Dunk play for us. The absolute SCENES when we scored. I thought my ten year old was attempting a pitch invasion and we were in row ZZ!

We absolutely mugged you... again.

That is two games this season where you played really well and arguably should have won both games.

That is the least likely double over a team that I have ever witnessed.

So sorry.

I would also like to say thank you. The 6 points may come in very handy later this year.

I wish you well for the rest of the season, particularly against all of the other teams in the top 6 places (which amusingly still does not include Derby; you might appreciate that much at least).

I don't agree.

Fulham were poor today and matched by our defence as well.

Yes we were slack, but another attribute of this side is the ability to bring teams down to their level when not on top of things. Today was an example.

Back from the game. Yes completely outplayed for long periods. I was listening to the commentary on radio London for most the game but had to turn it off because the Brighton fans were so loud :)

Their summariser on there was brilliant, didn't catch his name but he used to coach at Brighton in some capacity.

Right at the start of game identified Skalak as a bit of weak link if kept in his half because he would struggle to defend.

Identified game would change if March was brought on.

Wasn't there today but they didn't deserve to win the home game for me. Game of 2 halves and we were more clinical.

I remember someone else doing that 25 years ago....

Wasn't there today but really liked their positive expansive play at the Amex. Sounds today like they were tiring when we started going through the gears and nicked the goals.

That's exactly what happened. Their passing is very good and they were playing a pressing game against us, limiting us to long passes over the top. The problem with that, is that it tired them, so we waited patiently and then as they were reeling from our penalty goal, we still had enough energy to go forward again and score. Then it was all hands to the pump in defence, but although they tried attacking again and again, they just didn't have the energy.

Many times I have asked the Skalak question. To be honest I don't eve know what the answer was even now. I think I got a journalists response. - I also have a feeling that Skalak's stats always come out well but to be honest I really don't know how all the stats stuff works.

I am always gonna be bias in Murphy's corner though so maybe I just didn't pay attention to the response.

Does anyone who was there (or i guess anyone who wasn't) think the half of football Fulham had to play on Friday had any bearing on our resurgence late in the game?

Murphy looks the better player of the two for me. I think CH uses Skalak for his delivery and to make us less open away from home but I don't think we necessarily defend better. Bong looks terrified playing with him. Bong works slightly better with Murphy and much better with Lua Lua - IMHO.

After reading the bollocks of people making up their minds from listening to the radio I thank you for that.

I think Bong is reluctant to push on ahead of Skalak in case he loses the ball and he is caught up field. Murphy seldom loses the ball in possession. If he cant beat his man he will find a team mate inside so Bong is less likely to have to be chasing back. That gives Bong more confidence and freedom.

I don't get the Skalak thing at all - He doesn't always take the free kicks when we get them anyhow

It one thing being a sore loser but let's not become sore winners.
Fulham have hammered us twice & lost twice. If there was any justice they would have beaten us twice.
That has not been the case good for us.
But instead of saying well it's goals that wins games & not performances when we hear our opponents opinion of the game why don't we just say yes you deserved better.

Spoke to a Brighton based Fulham fan before the game. He said that they are a good football team but can't 'win ugly' whereas this this season it seems like Brighton have not been as good but have learned how to win games when you don't play well which is the what you need to get out of this division. The old boy was totally spot on.

Heard a Fulham group saying that we'll come straight back down again. They have belief in our season. Thanks Fulham, hope our second X1 play you in the 4th round of the cup.

Assume they must be a friend of Tony's and know all his plans, should we get promoted.

For me Skalak is the kind of player you want at home when you know the opposition are going to sit in and frustrate you. His delivery is what's needed to break a team down. I much prefer Murphy away from home where his pace adds a threat

Far be it for me to be the voice of positivity (something not of this world happened to me when Jiri scored v QPR).

But if the Albion's 4th best winger, can still keep the Albion in the game, have a hat-trick of assists v Norwich, give Solly more rehab time, all the while looking batshite crazy, he can't be all bad, can he?

Quite possibly........after about 60 mins they looked visibly shaky and fatigued.
