Without major structural work/changes what is the maximum capacity of our new ground?
Is there a plan to eventually move the seats closer together? A mini wrap around second tier in the north/south east corners and likewise the third tier in the north/south west???
Any additional seating expansion behind the North Stand etc
...Any information Stadium tours, inside knowledge etc greatly appreciated! :amex:

How do you move seats that are bolted on to a concrete terracing 'closer together'?

Not the real one
Not sure about moving seats closer together but there is definitely scope for the WSU to wrap around and also the north and south east corners to have a second tier or upper part.

With 21000 season ticket holders, expansion above 30750 must already be being considered...surely

Minor point.

Why didn't you put a question mark (one of these ?) in your thread title?

You mentioned info. What info do you have?

I can't see any point in trying to squeeze in a few hundred/thousand with all the cost and agg that goes with it. 31K is more than enough for Championship and if we get to Prem match day ticket sales are by no means the critical revenue item. Think El Pres mentioned his Prem League report says 30% of Prem League revenue comes from seat sales, so the commercial benefit will be questionable. Also the transport infrastructure which is creaking now, could well collapse

It would cost a lot more to expand much further than 31k, we could squeeze some seats in here and there but after that it becomes a structural headache to put in anything else especially if it's going to be completed whilst we are still using it. Only 10 of the Premiership teams get an average attendences of more than 30,000 to home games, I think we will generate money from the sponsorship and increase the price of season tickets if we want to increase the revenue but a tricky balance as a fan who feels they are getting a good deal is more likely to spend on merchandise regularly

30,750 will be the final figure once work is totally complete. I have that from a very good source.

Anything more would need a complete redesign.... new roof structures, improved transport plan. Etc etc... if we got to this point I suspect a new stadium would be the better option....Falmer, Coldene and Moulscoomb nimbys would have a flamin field day, as we have already seen recently.
