I'm in WSU next week so will try and seek out said serving establishment. Just for the speed of service you understand.

It won't be a valid test with only 47 people up there.

You'll have to back when there's a big crowd.

Being positive, and backing up what The Merry Prankster has already said, the 1901 Profile Lounge had various issues when it first opened but Azure/Elior have listened and now addressed most of these. I do believe the catering company are aware of the issues elsewhere and I also believe that in time everything, as it was in the 1901, will be resolved. I must have been difficult to go from scratch to a 20k crowd with a demand for catering which has blown all expectations out of the water. Azure have been in this business for a long time but previously have only ever taken over contracts at long established grounds. I think they should be given more time.

they've had half a season... no excuses. it can't be that hard to get right, surely. it seems to be getting worse not better. they make the same mistakes over and over.

on a similar theme... the train travel arrangements are now EXCELLENT in my view, they have really got this working well after a shaky start.

Surely Azure or the club have put numerous 'secret shoppers' out and there and deem things to be acceptable, or perhaps more likely accept it is a work in progress?

It seems fine in WSU, a queue of maybe 15 people takes less than 10 minutes to get to the front of.
Although one problem that does need adressing is the correct labelling of food.

4 times I have asked for a pie (be it Chicken & Ham or Balti) and been given the wrong pie. Thrice the Steak pie and once the Veggie pie. Also, I got given a chicken burger one time, and I think I speak fairly clearly so that wasn't an issue.
I took the burger back, but I would've complained about the pies if they weren't all so nice.
Well done Piglet's Pantry.
f***ing sort it out Azure.

Most of the pie boxes don't even have a tick or a dot in the little boxes that are meant to show what's in there, too time consuming?

As they are bespoke boxes, could we not have a bit of colour coding for them, or even a tick box to be completed with a felt tip pen. Then we might know what we are getting and the staff might know what they are selling. Otherwise all the boxes look exactly the same to the staff and the customers. Hardly suprising than that some do not get the pie they asked for. Not that that's a huge problem as ALL the pies are SUPERB (and I have had a vegetarian one too)

As the box fetish lover, I thought you'd have noticed they already do! Burger / Chicken Pie / Beef Pie / Special I think

NY Redbulls stadium any good? Out in NY in April, fancy trying to catch a game ?

It's a great stadium - definitely worth a visit. Tickets are about $25 and it's about 30 minutes from the World Trade Center site.

I have no idea. I'm not in the industry of selling thousands of pies to people. But, from my experience Azure/Eliot are listening and have been making improvements in some parts of the ground. I do not believe they will just stop at some arbitrary point and not eventually resolve all the stadium.

Interesting that they started with the 1901 area first. I think the Liverpool game was the point at which the balance was tipped and the club hauled them in for a chewing.

I do not know if it was just the 1901 first. I have experience of this lounge but here they have made vast improvements.

I don't have problems when oredering food or drink at the Amex - I spoke to one of the Kiosk staff after half time a few matches ago, yes, a student. Her insight to it all was that yes, of course there were a lot of Students working at the stadium as no one else really wants a job that is 1 day a week or every other week at that. Sure an experienced, mature head would be great in every kiosk - but sadly... they just dont want that kind of pocket money!! at 35, I certainly don't want a Saturday job!!

There are people who do this - they're called stewards !

As someone who spent a number of years working in catering I would suggest that is a very over simplistic statement. It CAN be hard to get right - even catering businesses that have been in place many years can struggle so a business that had no idea what was going to happen at a brand new stadium could be seen to have done a reasonable job in my eyes. That said there's clearly room for improvement.

I'm afraid that it is a problem if you are vegetarian and have been given the wrong pie. The remaining pies might be superb, but they can't be eaten by veggies! Glad you enjoyed the veggie pie - they are good!

We are sending secret diners into the east stand next week as they are trying a different view from the wsu, however they like there drinks and pies this will be a test of the east stand services. He looks like Harold Shipman thats a clue.
I think the answer to most of these issues is well trained staff working together as motivated teams with bonus paid for meeting targets.
We need to get this right as it will help to build this club for the future.

Yes, I noticed this. Left after the final whistle yesterday, got straight on the first train to Lewes and back in London by 6.30 - which is better than it used to be getting back from Withdean.

Fortunately, when this particular vegetarian was given the wrong product when a veggie pie had been requested, it was a (meat) burger. This happened 3 (three) times before I was actually given a pie which, trying to be positive, was the right flavour.

But with stuff like Tescos you are guaranteed regular hours. If you're looking for part time work at the weekends, for me the Amex would be bottom of the list because it's not regular enough. I guess this would suit some people, but most would be looking for something like proper bar work, shelf stacking etc... where you will be needed on a weekly basis
All the major supermarkets are only offering part time hours to new recruits , mostly 8 , 10 or 12 contracted hours a week , additional hours are given as single rate overtime if there is any.

Ah, but these boxes are full, and therefore a re of little interest to me!

But I have noticed that they do have the categories on the box, but no indication in the little square of what is in the box. Jeez it would only take a marker pen. It's not Newtonian Physics you know!

Everytime, it's like Christmas day!. What has Santa brought me this year? I really have been a very good boy this year. I do hope it's steak pie..........................,

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo the anticipation....................

Didn't Elliott say on the Albion Roar that Azure got rid of a large number of the original intake because they were incapable , inept , had an attitude problem , weren't customer focussed , etc etc ? I guess what they had left were mostly Uni students , having digs nearby would qualify them as living in BN and would tick the boxes to say the jobs are being taken by locals. Surely a business would know that most of them would go home at Xmas ? Although agency staff were drafted in I get the impression that corners were cut and to save on a couple of hours wages for each individual they were thrown in at the deep end.
