I have never listened so intently and enjoyed the work of a poet as much as this inspirational and inspired choice by Joe Biden as Inaugural Poet Laureate. I include Attilla and Spike Milligan in this list, so not to be taken lightly. Seriously, I have never been so moved by a poet and I will be following her career closely. Sublimely and beautifully eloquent for one so young and fully half of it was written on January 6th after the riots on Capitol Hill. Wonderful.

I'm with you, very inspirational... I think she is the result of Barack Obama's triumph and there will be many more following in the near future thanks to Kamala Harris ascending to the Vice Presidency . Hope springs....

Thought she was very good . I didn’t realise that Biden could deliver a speech like he did , really amazing speech , better even than Clinton’s and that is very high praise.

It was indeed the highlight of the day, and a fitting end to Trumps rain of division, dishonesty and discrimination.
