As far as I can remember I can't think of one person that is consistently funny. Most comedians give a great performance every once in a while. Except Will Ferrel.

Peter Sellers?

Father Ted had wacky slapstick gags just like Mrs Brown's Boys. Better, but not by a long way.

Spaced, Peep Show, early Boosh, Curb, The Office, Partridge. There's your good comedies.

They have great stand-up. Not so great on the TV shows but mostly because they just take our classics and butcher them.

Actually I am getting into a lot of American sit coms as they tend to be on early in the morning in hotels in Ireland and Sweden.....everyone likes Raymond, the one with James belushi, king of queens, Frazier etc
