My lad was much the same mate, he was a Chelsea fan and went to games at The Bridge. But he also came along to the Albion with me, and saw the passion and sense of belonging by being at your local team. I am happy to say he is now 18 and a season ticket holder at Withdean and now the Amex. Oh and no mention of Stamford Bridge or prawn sarnies. I am sure he will end up Millwall like you, but if not, Albion is far far better than Wet Spam or Palace.

Both my littlens have season tickets 12 and 8 years old, from birth they have only ever known one football team that will ever matter in their life, Brighton and Hove Albion, they are both very lucky

True but he now lives in Tonbridge, a few Brighton live in the area.

Times must have changed. I lived in Tonbridge for much of the 1970s and never encountered a single other Brighton fan the whole time I was there.

A lot of the bunch I sit with at the Amex are originally supporters of other teams, moved down here, their kids are born Brighton mad, so they all go to watch us. These blokes all look out for their original teams scores, but have adopted us as their new "home" team. Scratch the surface and you'll find loads of regular footy goers aren't watching the team they grew up supporting. Just enjoy it, no point forcing the kid up to Millwall if he doesn't feel any affinity. Just make them his second team.

Re: I Would Be Interested In Tickets For any Home Game

There would be nothing wrong with him supporting the Albion and then having a soft spot for Millwall - I don't mind Millwall myself, so I'm all with you on that. But living in Tonbridge!! You've lost me as a friend now!!! Move to High Brooms....if only for the kids sake, there's a lot of Albion in T.Wells.

I think arsenal have taken up 2nd spot, lol whats high brooms like?

'tis true that no one wore replica shirts in the '70s, so my experience was only be based on the people I actually talked to...
