I was told on Thursday by ticket office they expect to sell last 1000 st before they go on general sale next Wednesday...definitely no concerns over selling last few seats, told they are selling loads all of the time..."

East stand has the half block in the corner and the whole of the next block, and half the next block which is where the split will be. ****
Each block is 28 wide. If you times that by 25 deep, you will get 700 seats per block. So total for east stand away fans is approx 1300

south east corner is 810

South stand is 2550, half south stand up to split is 1200

Add this up, and you can see potential splits.

East stand 1300 .......... barnsley etc

East stand + South East 2100 .......... majority of clubs

East stand + South East + Half South Stand 3300 ............ Leeds etc

East stand + South East + South Stand 4500 ............ enough for FA cup

**** When i say blocks, i meant as they seem when looking at them. In the east there is a small block on the end. If you like to think in the way the Amex is actually mapped out, with gangways in the middle of blocks then the first 2 blocks at the south end are for away fans

Don't see what the big deal is. As they did this season, they will liaise with the away club to find out what they expect to sell. If they think they'll sell out, they'll get the lot. If they don't, they'll give them blocks of tickets to sell, and they can ask for more if they need them. If they don't, then they get flogged to home fans.

Nothing has really changed??

Will Palace give us 12% of their capicity?

*sigh*

I don't know. It's June. To be honest, I don't really care. And frankly I think it's a bit lame to be sat here at this time of year worrying about a bit of one-up-manship against Palace when none of us have the first clue what will happen.

A good marketing ploy by the club as ticket prices in the ESL and SEC away sections will be the same as the rest of ESL (£33 ?) and sold first. Only the big clubs taking the full 3,300 allocation and paying up front will get the cheaper South Stand seats (£26 ?).

Taking into consideration the away teams support last season, I doubt many would sell out their 3,300 allocation anyway

If being on an equal footing with Palace is really a concern, then never mind the tickets: perhaps when they come to town, we could temporarily demolish the South Stand and erect a decrepit old garden shed at one end, with one small entrance for two thousand fans, a couple of death trap staircases, only one food stall, and spray the whole thing with piss to give them that special Selhurst feeling.

That makes sense.

Teams would only get 4,500 in the league if the club reckoned they couldn't sell ANY South Stand tickets to home fans, so not likely, but possible.

Only for Capital One Cup or FA Cup , the max for league games is 3,300 but there again certain matches may have restrictions imposed by Sussex Police.

Yup.

Palace = 810

:dunce:

Any club that would rather have empty seats than sell them to their opponents in case they make more noise than the home plastics should get its just desserts

In the podcast with Martin Perry he stated that they would create the full allocation of away fans before all the seats when in and that it would therefore provide more than 10% until all the seats where added hence the 3300 allocation from next season.

The only other scenario that would make this possible is if we were guaranteed 6,000+ at Smellhurst.

Fair enough but surely it would be madness to leave 1200 empty seats in the south stand for all but a handful of games that they are wanted by the away club

I think the problem the club has, is that they have to allow 10% if requested. This is why half the South stand can only be sold to home fans if the away club does not take up their allocation. A lot like last year, there will be empty seats, as the ground can only be segregated in a number of places due to the concourses also having to be split. So for example a club only takes 1500 then there will be a lot of empty seats in the South East section. As a club goes over one limit another whole section will have to be opened up.
Not many clubs will go over 2100 so I anticipate that BHA will normally have the South stand as a home stand. But if they sell 2200 then half the South stand would be away fans

IMHO

3300 brilliant, should make for a fantastic atmosphere when the away end is full.
